Chaya Eaddy

Chaya was amazing for us in the delivery room. My doctors were pushing for a c-section and she stayed respectful of what I wanted while still informing me of my options (Dr's really make it sound like you have no options but what they are suggesting). She advocated for me and made me feel like I had control of my labor. My labor was stalled and I had been at 6cm for a long time and my baby wasn't in the best position. My Dr. wanted a c-section and I asked for just one more hour to see if I progressed any further. All of the Dr's and nurses left the room and Chaya took action. She went and got a nurse to come back and help her put me in different positions to see if we could get me ready. For the entire hour she directed the nurse on which positions they would do and when my Dr came back, I was 10cm with the baby in the correct position. My doctor was actually shocked and so was I! Without Chaya I definitely would have had a c-section (something I was trying to avoid). I am very grateful for her and how she encouraged and informed me throughout my entire pregnancy and labor.

Recently hired Nova Birth&Wellness to be my Doula for labor and delivery. She was extremely passionate and very attentive to my needs and exceeded my expectations by ensuring that I had an unmedicated birth that my doctors told me that it isn’t possible but she made me never give up. Also, I had a c-section with my previous birth where I tried without a Doula. I highly recommend having Chaya as your Doula as she is very knowledgeable and passionate. I didn’t want no medication and she always responded quickly to my messages and provided excellent advice. Once I gave birth, she helped me with postpartum by providing me supplies I needed after birth and recommendations with my baby. I definitely couldn’t have accomplished having an unmediated VBAC without her especially being older patient.

10/10 experience! Chaya was very helpful and supportive. She was everything I was looking for in a doula, especially as a first time mom. She is very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining the process (both before & during my birth). She made sure that I was fully aware of my options, and my rights (I gave birth in a hospital setting). I felt very cared for and way more comfortable having her there in the room with me. She is also very kind and personable. I highly recommend her services, and I can say that I would definitely love to have her as my doula for future births!

Intrinsic Motherhood or Chaya is such a wealth of knowledge. As a midwife, I choose carefully who I want in the birth space, but after going to a birth with Chaya I cannot recommend her enough. She has so much experience, wisdom, and such a warm heart. I can see why my client felt so at ease with Chaya birthing at home, and she was able to have a beautiful waterbirth. Trust is so important in the birth space, and Chaya brings so many different tricks and tools to help labor but also a calming space for labor to go smoothly. She is very passionate about serving the women in her community. If she cannot help you in person she offers virtual packages as well. She cares about the women she holds space for as a doula. She is a black owned business as well for anyone looking specifically for a doula of color she'd be a great option.
