About me

My name is Christina Murray, proud owner of Resilient Development, LLC, doing business as A Doula On Purpose. As a faith -based Doula, my approach to birth work is rooted in compassion, faith, and belief that every birth is sacred and a precious experience. My business “ A Doula On Purpose “ is not just a business name, but a declaration of my belief that I have received God‘s instruction to support and care for his people during pregnancy, labor,birth, and beyond. It is my purpose to walk alongside my clients offering not only physical, and emotional support but also a sense of peace and spiritual comfort ,should they desire it. I offer both birth and postpartum doula services. I am trained professionally and certified in both areas and most recent a certification in childbirth education. This doula imposes her religious beliefs into her business while presenting herself as supportive of all families. She specifically markets herself as a “faith-based doula,” which contradicts the idea of inclusive care as listed on her website . I found it offensive to be referred to her services from someone else in the VA area who was unable to take me on due to being booked. Proceed with caution.
