Hi! I’m a birth doula serving the greater Fredericksburg (NOVA) area. I am certified through A Woman Who Serves Doula Training (AWWS) and I am honored to be a part of the community of support for women and their journey into motherhood! I believe that birth is sacred and work to affirm that as I serve you and your growing family.

Birth Doula Package

Includes:
3 prenatal appointments
in person care for labor and delivery
1 postpartum appointment

$1,375 USD · Flat rate

Sacred Starts Package

Birth Support Package included:
(3 prenatals, on-call labor and delivery support, and 1 postpartum appointment)
As well as:
twelve additional postpartum shifts, 3 hour duration each

Postpartum Package

My goal is to provide you with care that best suits your family’s needs as you welcome a new member to your home! Based off of this and my availability, I offer: - postpartum appointments of 2-3 hour durations - up to 3 postpartum appointments weekly

$25 USD · Per hour

What to expect

As a birth doula, I work to support both you and your partner emotionally, spiritually, and physically as you bring your baby into the world. That means educating you about the labor and birth process and common procedures in hospital and out. It means answering any questions you may have and discussing any fears you may have. It means holding your hand and walking you through a contraction every step of the way. It means supporting your partner by guiding them in how to best support you and being an extra set of hands for them. It means loving, serving, and respecting you as you bring the gift of new life into the world. I’m a naturally-minded birth doula, meaning I truly do believe that your body was made to birth your baby. I do not view birth as an inherently medical emergency, and will encourage you to birth without extensive intervention in the labor process. I am going to educate you of the risks and benefits of any procedure or decision presented to you surrounding birth. Above all, I support women who believe in their bodies to birth their babies, whether that be at home, at a birth center, or in the hospital with an epidural. It is an honor to serve you.

Frequently asked questions

What is your service range?

Officially it is 35 miles, while exceptions can be made for further distances. Service range fees will apply.

Are you a Christian doula?

I am a Christian and truly believe in God’s beautiful design of the woman’s body to be a giver of life. I do not limit my clients to those who hold the same beliefs as my own.

Do you take insurance?

The fees for doula care must be paid to Sacred Starts Doula Services by the client at the agreed upon date, but Sacred Starts will provide all paperwork required for the client to make a reimbursement request to an insurance company.

How long does labor support last?

My goal is to support my clients from the moment they request me to come and be present until the birth of their baby, and up to two hours after. In the case of a labor extending over 18 hours, I may choose to call in a pre-determined back up doula to cover me for a break or for the remainder of the delivery.
