This will be my second home water birth. I plan to have my baby naturally and unmedicated. I like to be very hands on and prefer someone who is okay taking the backseat or driving so to speak, whenever I express so. I want to avoid a hospital birth but if it’s necessary I’m willing to listen to the advice of a midwife but if I am uncomfortable with something I will say so. I prefer someone who has attended and assisted many births, at least 200. I’d like to find a birth center or in home midwife that can be covered or partially covered by Medicaid and I have anthem health keepers plus. If out of pocket, I’d like to stay close to $4,000 for prenatal care and birth. I’d like a person who is knowledgeable in breastfeeding and who can assist immediately after birth or direct me to someone who can.

I’m looking for help with increasing my milk supply. I’m 5 weeks pp and noticing somewhat of a dip in my supply. My babies needs are increasing, so I want to provide for her. I am exclusively pumping. I would like a consultant that is in Fairfax, va and covered by BCBS. My budget is $250 or less for the appointment. I have a spectra and eufy breast pump. While in the hospital, I noticed the Medela yielded more output. I’m not sure if my flange size is correct for both pumps. Any help would be appreciated!

I need a birth doula for sure. I plan to give birth at Sibley hospital in DC. Budget is negotiable, although I'd like to stay under $2,000 if possible. I would like someone with at least 5 years' experience. I'm a [personal details hidden] first-time mom. My insurance provider is Carefirst BCBS. Doulas are a covered benefit. I have a BluePreferred PPO plan. I'd also like information about lactation consultants and night nannies. Thank you!

Lactation consultant in home. We are one week [personal details hidden], and I am producing about an ounce (total) whenever I pump (8 pumping sessions / day, 20 mins each). I also breast feed him a bit, 3-4 x a day for about ten mins. I’d like a consultant for two things: 1) to get my supply up over the next few weeks and 2) to understand how much he is getting when I breastfeed so I know how much to give from the bottle.

I’m not totally sure so starting there would be great. I know that I want to work with someone that takes insurance (BCBS).

2 month old has a shallow latch most of the time. [personal details hidden] but she’s still growing well (we weigh her every day). She latched great at the beginning then slowly started getting a more shallow latch. She has breast preference but is starting to get frustrated when my let down doesn’t happen immediately. She only has 2 or 3 bottles at night (when my husband feeds her) and I nurse all day and all night. So I’m not sure why her latch constantly stays shallow. I’m really nervous about labor and delivery. I want an epidural and am good with medical intervention. I’m nervous that my husband won’t be calm during the birthing process. I need someone who can help me be calm through it and help coach my husband through it. I also am nervous about being very vulnerable during birth and consent is very important for me and want to make sure I feel comfortable and not taken advantage of. Giving birth at Sibley I’m also very nervous about postpartum. This is my first pregnancy

First baby, hospital birth at Georgetown. Would like to labor naturally as long as possible but I am not totally against pain relief. Would love a doula who can support me in different positioning, hip squeezes etc and help me exercise my full agency during birth. It’s important to me to find someone who is a blend of holistic care and Western medicine. We’d also love for our doula to help us a bit after birth with postpartum and newborn care. Tri-Care East (Humana military) will cover the six hours worth of visits + one untimed visit for birth so we need someone who is a participant with them. After that our budget for postpartum/newborn support is $1,000 but we are open to discussing that further.
