Hi there! I'm a trauma-informed birth and postpartum doula with a focus on prioritizing mental health. I provide childbirth education and support families for up to one year during their postpartum journey. I work from an evidence-based lens while integrating intuitive spirituality and ancient practices. I welcome any and all families of all backgrounds. Just the Birth

Includes 3 prenatal childbirth education sessions, continuous birth support, hospital postpartum care, and two 45 minute postpartum check-ins.

With a Couple Weeks of Sleep

Includes 3 prenatal childbirth education sessions, continuous birth support, postpartum hospital care, and 48 overnight hours (or 80 daytime hours) of postpartum care.

Overnight Postpartum Care

Hands on baby care including assistance with nursing, pumping, bottle feeding, and all other newborn tasks. I focus on the baby's soothing and comfort so you may you prioritize sleep. And if extra time (and the baby) allow it, I will also do light household tasks and meal prep.

What to expect

I am a full spectrum doula and photographer of the entire journey including pregnancy, both home and hospital birth, postpartum, and infant parenthood. Our prenatal sessions include a private childbirth education class and nesting assistance. Your birth support will be for spontaneous or scheduled birth and I provide a plethora decoration and comfort items for you to use. I provide daytime and overnight hours for the postpartum period. I also provide photography on film or digitally of the entire parenthood experience and am currently growing my birth photography portfolio.

Marie came to help me for 5 weeks when my husband and I went back to work. It was a big transition and I was grateful to have the help at that time. She went above and beyond, doing things I never even asked her to. It was a very stressful and emotional time for me and Marie was so patient and kind. Above all that she was fantastic with my daughter, who was 4 months at the time. She even taught her to play peek-a-boo (which I didn't even think a 4 month old could do on her own)! She helped her practice sitting up and meet other milestones at the time too. She did everything from baby girls laundry, washing bottles and prepping meals for me. It was really great having her.

As a new mom, working with Marie was exactly what I needed. She's knowledgeable, kind and most importantly, loved and took amazing care of my son. I never had to worry about my son's welfare or development when she was with him. Not only did she take great care of my son, but she is just so pleasant to be around. She's a great source of information - when I was struggling with introducing solids to my son, Marie had helpful tips and even created a handy list of healthy & safe foods to try with him. What are daytime vs overnight hours?

Daytime hours are between 8:00am - 8:59pm Overnight hours are between 9:00pm - 7:59am Daytime hours are focused on education and household maintenance, whereas overnight hours prioritize sleep over all else.

What are the prenatal childbirth education sessions?

The purpose of the prenatal childbirth education sessions is to ensure that all parties in the birth room are aware and prepared before walking in. The meetings take place preferably at your home with your support person (partner, parent of the baby, your best friend, your parent, ect) who will be present at the birth. Virtual meetings are possible if absolutely necessary. These are typically 2-3 hour sessions and include a power point presentation and reference materials.

What is hospital postpartum care?

I provide the optional care in the postpartum hospital room, typically the day after the birth, at no extra cost. This is a 4 hour check in where I may help you get sleep and give your support partner a break. This is to ensure you feel heard, cared for, and nurtured after the birth is done and the real beginning is setting in. This time is often exhausting too, as you endured your first night with your newborn and still have all the other hospital logistics going on.

Are you covered by insurances?

I am an eligible provider of doula services. I can bill directly with Medi-Cal at no out-of-pocket cost to you, or if you have private insurance, send you a superbill which is an invoice of payment that you may submit a claim to your insurance for compensation. Call your insurance provider to see what benefits you have under your plan.
