Wow. Just had a 2nd session with Mariel, and she continues to be phenomenal in implementing ways for my daughter and I to be comfortable with breastfeeding. Mariel provided strategies that have been effective in my daughter latching and sucking appropriately. She took her time with me and my baby girl, and it was obvious that she spent time thinking of ways to help me in between our sessions together. Mariel consistently came with a game plan and she worked diligently to help me achieve my breastfeeding goals. She always came prepared with new ideas and ways to implement various techniques to work with us. Mariel is a remarkable lactation consultant, I consider myself extremely lucky to have been able to meet her and work with her.

Prior to giving birth, I connected with Mariel. Together, we set up anticipated goals and then she walked us through bottle & pacifier options, as well as breast feeding and bottle feeding positions/options for when the baby does arrive. Quickly after birth, we set up a follow up appointment to work through my late arrival of milk, struggling feeding positions, and my ongoing pain that I was experiencing during feedings. Mariel was able to identify a medical barrier that I was experiencing and provided me with the appropriate details necessary to seek further medical support from my doctor. She continues to answer all my questions promptly via email and text, works with my schedule, and is very flexible! When there has been an urgent matter, she was able to rearrange her schedule to fit me in. In addition to her vast knowledge, her personality is the best- warm, funny, caring, and just lovely! She is phenomenal with my son; he loves her too! We can't wait for her visits and look forward to them also. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend working with her!
