I've been supporting families in the prenatal, birth and postpartum period for over 15 years. I currently work primarily as a lactation consultant, but I'm also a Registered Nurse, Certified Doula- Postpartum and Infant Care and Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator. I do lactation home visits and postpartum doula support in the Pittsburgh area. I specialize in supporting families from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ families, international families and families of all configurations and backgrounds. I love learning about languages and cultures as well as helping families learn to understand their babies' language and development.

I love meeting people where they're at in their home environment and can often gain a lot of additional insight that can help improve their lactation experience by meeting them at home, but I also have an office in West View where families can meet me and I can do virtual visits. My visits are typically 60-120 minutes, depending on the questions and complexities. I can assist with latch support and troubleshooting, evaluation of oral ties, oral motor skills and general anatomy issues, pumping support including flange sizing, oversupply and and undersupply, engorgement and mastitis, and much more! I also provide overnight doula support and teach infant massage to parents.
Mary is an amazing IBCLC! She supported me with my son to help with his bottle refusal and assist me with his latch and my supply concerns. She was our saving grace and made us feel so comfortable. Thank you Mary!
