I’m looking for a doula to support me throughout my birth journey, including labor, delivery, and preparing for postpartum. I’m new to the whole doula experience, but I recently saw a friend have a doula, and I was amazed by the support she received. Her doula supported her throughout her pregnancy, helped prepare her for labor, coached and encouraged her during delivery, and even noticed things during labor that the nurses weren’t as attentive to. Seeing how much of a difference that support made for my friend really opened my eyes to wanting that same type of guidance and reassurance for myself. I would love to find someone who can help me feel prepared, supported, informed, and confident throughout this entire experience—from pregnancy to labor and into postpartum.

First-time mom seeking a hospital birth doula who can help me prepare for a low-intervention, physiologic birth while remaining flexible if medical needs arise. I would like to labor at home as long as safely possible and hope to have an unmedicated vaginal birth, though I am open to an epidural if I feel I need one. I prefer to avoid invasive interventions unless medically necessary and want support understanding my options and advocating for informed consent. I am open to my mother and my husband’s mother providing additional support if labor becomes especially intense emotionally or physically, with my mother being the first person I would consider bringing in if needed. My postpartum priorities include delayed cord clamping and immediate skin-to-skin whenever medically possible. I’m looking for someone patient and educational who can help a first-time mom learn the language of birth, understand her choices, prepare for different scenarios, and feel supported without making the experience fear-based or overly rigid.

My requirements are must have experience and knowledge working with families of color, certified lactation specialist, and experienced in home births.
