I am looking to have an unmedicated birth. I have always wanted that and for different reasons I wasn't able to. One of them with the vbac was lack of support in terms of pain management. I did have a doula, and instead of guiding me through those hard moments, I felt like I had to ask for support and she was not proactive. That made me snap out of the mindset and [personal details hidden] and instead of cheering me on, guiding me to a different position or something similar, she just told me to get it. Maybe she thought she was being supportive, but I needed someone to help me manage the pain so that it didn't have to get to that point. Thank you for reading my message!
