Nandi Jacobs

5 years of experience

Hey! I'm Nandi, and supporting families during their birthing journeys is not just my profession, it’s my calling. My passion for birth work stems from witnessing the strength and resilience of birthing people and my desire to create spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and empowered. I’ve had the honor of working as a doula in various settings, from hospitals like Wellstar to community-based programs like Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies, home-births and birth centers. Each experience has deepened my commitment to providing compassionate, personalized care that honors each family’s unique story. Here’s what you can expect when we work together: - Connection: I take the time to get to know you and your family, so I can support your physical, emotional, and informational needs. - Advocacy: Whether it's navigating hospital policies or exploring comfort techniques, I ensure you feel confident and supported every step of the way. - Holistic Care: As a certified yoga instructor specializing in prenatal yoga, I incorporate movement and mindfulness to help you feel calm and prepared. One of my most meaningful experiences was supporting women in recovery through Motherhood Beyond Bars, where I saw how vital nurturing care and a nonjudgmental presence can be. That philosophy guides me every day. I am trained as a Full Spectrum and Abortion Doula, so I can support you through any reproductive health journey with respect and compassion. Birth is unpredictable, but my goal is always the same: to help you feel empowered, informed, and cared for, no matter what. If you’re looking for a doula who will listen deeply, support you fully, and celebrate your strength, I’d love to connect with you.

I honestly can’t say enough great things about Nandi! She was and still is one of my biggest support people throughout my birth and postpartum journey. From preparing me for labor to being there when I needed reassurance, encouragement, and guidance she made such a meaningful difference every step of the way! She made sure I felt supported not only throughout my birth experience, but even after my husband and I brought our baby girl home. Having Nandi in my corner during such a life-changing time meant everything to me and I honestly couldn’t see myself going through this journey without her! If you’re looking for a doula who is knowledgeable, supportive, caring, and truly has your best interest at heart, Nandi is definitely the one! 💜

theeloahdoula@gmail.com <- Best way to contact me. Peace & blessings! My name is Mislene and I have been providing doula support in my community for about 6 years now. Being a doula brings me so much joy and I love what I do! Assisting in this beautiful experience, as a guide while you deliver a complex being into this realm is my passion. Within my Haitian culture, I have learn so much about the process of taking care of a woman’s body, especially during pregnancy and birth. Haiti really emphasizes in womb healing, and being surrounded by the women of the village during this intimate moment. I provide physical, emotional, mental, and informational support, to women and their partners. I make sure that you and your partner are confident enough to be your own advocates to ensure a positive birth experience. This is my true purpose.

As soon as I met Mislene, I knew she was the right fit for me and my birth. I immediately connected with her and felt comfortable. I loved that I could be myself and express my needs. She was knowledgeable from the jump and constantly empowered me and my decision making. She provided me with lots of education and techniques to help me progress. During pregnancy she was responsive and I felt supported knowing she was accessible. I had a few false alarms and she helped me navigate those until I was able to really know the real thing. The day I went into labor she came right away and made sure my labor environment was peaceful/ comfortable. She worked alongside the nurses/ doctors advocating and guiding me. The most memorable moment with her was when I started to panic when getting my epidural and she held me and helped me stay calm. Also, after my birth she visited me and helped me reflect on what all happened and checked on me and baby. I definitely recommend her and feel that her doula services made a difference. Thank you so much for being apart of this life changing experience with me.

Shannon Douglas

25 years of experience

I was born to nurture babies. I have 25 years of professional Nanny experience. The saying “do what you love and love what you do”? This statement is 100% why I am a Nanny. Being a Nanny fulfills me in a way nothing else ever has or ever will. I could not be more proud of my career as a Nanny and the positive impact I have had on dozens of families and children I hold in my heart forever. I participate in continuing education as well as numerous professional organizations in order to be the best Nanny possible. I am passionate about protecting and watching babies thrive while supporting parents. Others describe me as enthusiastic, creative and positive. I am a naturally optimistic person, and being with babies makes me feel joyful and hopeful. I was born in the South. My Dad is a retired FBI agent, so I am extremely attuned to safety and security. I have impeccable references as well as over a dozen five-star, recent reviews. I have a perfect background and clean driving record. I have never smoked or vaped and drive a safe vehicle. My hourly rate reflects my many years of quality care. Michael Phelps was born to swim; Mikhail Baryshnikov was born to dance, and Luciano Pavarotti was born to sing. I was born to be a Nanny.

Shannon was a blessing to our family during the newborn period. She was caring, attentive, experienced, and incredibly professional, and we always felt completely comfortable knowing our son was safe and well cared for in her hands. Her experience and helpful advice were invaluable, and her genuine love for what she does truly stood out. She made those early newborn days so much more manageable, and we are incredibly grateful for her support. Any family would be lucky to have Shannon!

I’m a Mother of 5 and have been a Birth and Postpartum Doula since 2005. I believe informed, supported families make confident decisions and that emotional safety matters just as much as physical care. My approach is calm, judgment-free, and deeply client-centered. I support families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period with hands-on education, advocacy, and compassionate emotional support. I’m especially mindful of how past experiences, expectations, and birth trauma can shape the way someone moves through pregnancy and birth, and I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I don’t believe there’s one “right” way to give birth. My role is to meet you where you are, help you understand your options, and support you in making decisions that feel aligned with your values. Whether you’re planning a low-intervention birth, navigating medical care, or processing a previous experience, I’m here to walk alongside you. When I’m not supporting families, you can usually find me staying active in the gym, learning more about holistic health, or soaking up time with my own family.

We were incredibly fortunate to have Ms. Felicia care for our daughter for two weeks between long-term nannies, and we only wish we could have had her with us longer. From day one, she was warm, loving, and immediately put our family at ease. She brought a wonderful combination of professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care to her work. During her time with us, our daughter was beginning to teeth, and she navigated that with patience and expertise. She always seemed to know exactly what our baby needed and was a calming, reassuring presence for both of us. What stood out most was the special bond she developed with our daughter in such a short time. Our baby absolutely adored her and was always excited to see her each day. It was clear that she truly enjoys working with children and connects with them in a meaningful way. She was also incredibly flexible, dependable, and easy to communicate with. Whether adjusting to our schedule or helping wherever needed, she consistently went above and beyond. We wholeheartedly recommend Ms. Felicia to any family looking for a caring, knowledgeable, and trustworthy nanny. Any family would be lucky to have her, and we are so grateful for the time she spent with ours.

Hey everyone! My name is Alyssa and I am a postpartum doula. My passion with the birth experience came after having my own children, when I was able to truly understand the transformation that unfolds during motherhood. I love taking care of other people and have spent my entire life working with children. I am excited to connect with some families to see if we are a good match!

I honestly cannot say enough amazing things about Alyssa. From the very beginning, she made me feel prepared, heard, and completely supported. She helped me create my birth plan, went over every detail with me beforehand, and truly took the time to understand the birth I wanted. She stayed on call with me while I labored at home, kept up with my contractions, and came straight to the hospital the moment I called her. She was there through every part of my labor. She helped me with different positions, including the rebozo sifting technique, which was one of my favorites and brought me so much relief. She even brought the rebozo herself, along with a comb to help redirect the pain, snacks, drinks, and headphones in case I needed them. What meant so much to me was how intentional she was about creating a calm, safe space for me to give birth. She dimmed the lights, kept the room peaceful and quiet, and made sure the environment felt exactly how I wanted it to. She also made sure my husband felt included and supported throughout the entire experience, which meant so much to both of us. When I was exhausted and overwhelmed, Alyssa became my voice. She helped me understand what the doctors were asking, advocated for me, and made sure my wishes were respected when I didn’t have the energy to speak for myself. I truly, from the bottom of my heart, don’t think I could have had the dream birth I wanted without her. She gave me comfort, strength, reassurance, and so much love during one of the most intense and beautiful moments of my life. At this point, I swear Alyssa basically delivered my baby herself 😂❤️. I am forever grateful for her and everything she did for me. If you’re considering a doula, I cannot recommend Alyssa enough. She is truly incredible at what she does, and I feel so lucky that she was part of such a special moment in my life. 🤍
