I am a professional labor doula and childbirth educator. I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Georgia. I am a dedicated and compassionate labor doula, committed to empowering women and families throughout their pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum journey. With a background in mental health and a passion for supporting expectant mothers, I bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and empathy to my role as a doula. My calming demeanor and reassuring presence help to alleviate anxiety and promote a sense of calm during what can be an intense and transformative experience. I have called North Georgia home for the last 18 years. I’ve been married to my husband Adam for 5 years. We have two boys under the age of four. In my spare time I enjoy volunteering on my church’s hospitality team, gardening, and spending time outside with my family. I became interested in becoming a doula after experiencing the benefits of hiring a doula for my second birth. I find great joy in walking with women in their motherhood journey.

I genuinely cannot begin to say how thankful I am for Alexis and how she walked with us through our journey to parenthood. We had two prenatal meetings where she met with my husband and I to talk through our birth wishes and just get to know us as people. She focused on getting to know the "why" behind our birth wishes and not just the "what." Her background in counseling was such a perfect fit with her doula services as she helped us walk through the crazy emotions that surround birth and becoming a parent. We talked through how I would feel emotionally if my birth didn't go "according to plan;" we talked about how our marriage was doing in the midst of the pregnancy. Her birth class was super helpful in it made us informed and prepared about what would and could happen during birth. She did check ins after every OB appointment to see how things were going and see how I was feeling every step of the way. When my water broke, she checked in every few hours to keep up with my early labor and give us tips for the early contractions and then met us at the hospital when I was in active labor. I had all back labor, and she and my husband took turns giving me counter pressure on my back for hours. She helped guide me on when to switch positions and try new tactics. She was even there to help with little things like moving our car because it was still parked out front. After our son was born, Alexis stayed with us a few more hours until we were fully settled in our recovery room. She did a follow up meeting with us about a week after delivery and just sat with us and helped me process my birth experience which thankfully was everything that I wanted, but it's still a lot to process. Alexis set up a meal train for us and even brought a meal herself. She texted and checked in with how I was healing, how I was doing emotionally, and just how I was adjusting to motherhood every few days after birth and then weekly for the first two months postpartum. My husband and I genuinely felt like we weren't in this alone, that we had a guide walking through it with us. It was so nice that my husband could support me emotionally and didn't have to worry about having all of the knowledge to specifically support me during labor - he could focus on being my husband and not my coach. We just felt so supported and encouraged the entire journey. She constantly went above and beyond what a typical doula would do. I cannot rave about Alexis enough, and our plan is to have her present for all future childbirths.

I’m a Mother of 5 and have been a Birth and Postpartum Doula since 2005. I believe informed, supported families make confident decisions and that emotional safety matters just as much as physical care. My approach is calm, judgment-free, and deeply client-centered. I support families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period with hands-on education, advocacy, and compassionate emotional support. I’m especially mindful of how past experiences, expectations, and birth trauma can shape the way someone moves through pregnancy and birth, and I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I don’t believe there’s one “right” way to give birth. My role is to meet you where you are, help you understand your options, and support you in making decisions that feel aligned with your values. Whether you’re planning a low-intervention birth, navigating medical care, or processing a previous experience, I’m here to walk alongside you. When I’m not supporting families, you can usually find me staying active in the gym, learning more about holistic health, or soaking up time with my own family.

My whole family is obsessed with Rabsaris. We had the pleasure of having her as our doula a couple years ago for the home birth of my second born, and she was so amazing every step of the way. She is warm, knowledgeable, and hilarious. She’s not afraid to give you the truth, and she’s very straightforward, which I appreciate. Also, her chocolate chip cookies are unmatched. She is a wonderful, honest, genuine person. She has such a passion for supporting pregnant people and their families and it shows in how intentional she is about everything she does. Every prenatal felt like a full childbirth education course. I learned so much during her visits. I still use the calming techniques she taught my husband and me for everyday life with a toddler! At my actual birth, I felt like my sister was taking care of me. I felt so loved and supported. It was like she was reading my mind every step of the way. I can’t even really describe it, but I can’t imagine my birth without her. It was so beautiful to have her there for me, my husband, and my oldest kiddo (who, again, is OBSESSED with her). I could go on, but to keep it short: Rabsaris’ services were worth every single penny and then some. I cannot recommend her enough. Do yourself a favor and hire her as your doula. You won’t regret it!

When I got connected with Marissa, I just knew she was the right doula for me. I know there’s no such thing as perfect, but my spirit truly aligned with hers. I trusted God and felt at peace not choosing a backup doula, even though I had interviewed three. And I have no regrets. I was induced at 37 weeks, so I wasn’t able to fully follow my birthing plan. However, we had discussed it in depth, and she knew exactly what I wanted. Marissa was firm, supportive, and confident which I deeply appreciated. She wasn’t afraid to speak up for me. She made sure to ask me if decisions being made were truly what I wanted and ensured I understood everything happening. She also made sure she had all the information just like I did. I felt completely comfortable and safe with her. I didn’t feel like I had to track or manage everything because I knew she was doing that. She made sure I had water, juice, crackers everything I needed. I’m not used to being taken care of. I’m usually the strong friend, the one who handles everything on my own. So when Marissa was putting chapstick on my lips, socks on my feet, rubbing my back, and helping me stay comfortable, it honestly shocked me in the best way. It meant more than I can explain. Yes, she’s a doula but to me, it never felt like just a job to her. It felt genuine, loving, and intentional. I will always adore and appreciate her for how she showed up for me during one of the most important moments of my life.

Jessica Medina

As a mother of three, I've walked the journey of birth and parenthood with both uncertainty and empowerment. My own experiences have taught me the profound impact that supportive care and holistic approach can have on a woman's transition into motherhood. At 20, I became a mom to my daughter Ava, navigating a medicated 12-hour labor and the challenges that followed. Despite the difficulties, I was determined to grow and learn. With my second child, Maxim, I discovered the strength of my body and the power of natural birth. However, it wasn't until the birth of my third child, Natalie, that I truly embodied the transformative potential of holistic birth and parenting. Through dedicated preparation, self-care, and community support, I cultivated a profound trust in my own abilities and the natural process of birth. As a certified doula through The Matrona, I've been blessed to learn from the wisdom of Whapio and the Matrona lineage. I strive to bring the knowledge and heart-centered approach of these wise women to every birth I attend, honoring the sacredness and individuality of each family's journey. As a holistic doula, I'm devoted to creating a nurturing space for women to tap into their own strength, resilience, and intuition. I believe that every woman deserves to be seen, heard, and supported throughout her journey into motherhood. My heart is committed to guiding women in embracing their unique experiences, trusting their inner wisdom, and unfolding into the fullness of their own power.

Olivia Gooden

I want to introduce myself. My name is Olivia Gooden, CD(DONA)and I am the owner of Another Mother's Touch Doula Services. I became a mother 33 years ago with my first child. I remember being in that delivery room alone. Even though my mom and baby dad was on the outside in the waiting room. I was alone. I felt alone. Things happened so fast. Some of those things are still a blurry to this day. About 27 years ago, I witnessed my first child being born outside of my own two and it was amazing and since then I've witnessed or supported about 12 others and this was before I got my official doula training. It came so natural to coach, encourage, inspire these mothers through and after seeing those miracles being born over and over that I wanted to do this. Back then, at first, there wasn't a name for what I found myself loving to do. Then eventually I heard them calling it a birth coach but there wasn't anyone close by to train and certify me, which I found out as time went on that I didn't have to be certify just to support another mother. If we go back in history there were midwives and other women and mothers supporting the laboring mother but somewhere along time, we got a way from that but I wanted to be that support. As time went on I began to hear the word, Doula. Doula is a geek word that mean " woman's servant." It is also define as a trained companion who is not a healthcare professional and who supports another person through a significant health-related experience, such as childbirth, miscarriage, induced abortion or stillbirth, or non-reproductive experiences such as dying. (I don't support abortion). Types: There are a few types of doulas: birth doulas, postpartum doulas, and antepartum doulas. A birth doula provides assistance to another woman before and during labor and childbirth; a postpartum doula provides assistance to new parents after their baby is born (though some doulas offer both services). Once again there was no one close around me that had ever heard the word, doula. It began as a desire in my heart over 25 years ago. June 2020, during the pandemic I had the opportunity to go through doula training. Even though I don't have to get certified and dont have to have the training, I wanted the benefits that would come along with having both. Not only would I be a blessing to mothers and fathers but I could benefit from what the industry will be in the future. As a mother, it feels good knowing that you have the support of another mother and/or woman by your side along with any other supporting person while you are bringing a precious gift in the world while you are at your vulnerable state. November 14, 2022 i became a certified Birth Dona (CD) through DONA International. Another Mother's Touch is here to support you.One mother supporting another mother. Trained and Certified. Jenn supported us with the birth of our first child. From the first time we met with her, Jenn exuded confidence and was very knowledgeable, which put us at ease. As first time parents, we didn't know what the process would be like and appreciated all of her tips and best practices that she shared with us. We felt informed and equipped to make the best decisions for our family. She helped us craft a birth plan, shared relevant resources with us and communicated with us often in the weeks leading up to the birth. Jenn is very responsive, punctual and professional while being down to earth and approachable. Not only did she care for me as the birth mother, but she also ensured that my husband was supported throughout the process as well—which was very appreciated by us. Jenn went above and beyond, staying with us for awhile after our daughter was born to make sure that we were well settled in our hospital room. We love that Jenn took photos and videos of precious moments that we will cherish forever. Jenn is thoughtful and caring and shared snacks and personal stories with us for our postpartum visit. We highly recommend Jenn and would hire her again in a heart beat if the opportunity arises!

Choosing a doula is a huge decision, and we are so incredibly grateful we found Nia. Before the birth, she provided excellent education, materials, and resources that completely prepped my husband and me on what to expect. She answered all of our questions and truly calmed our fears of the unknown. During delivery, she was absolutely invaluable. She provided amazing support and maintained a wonderfully calm presence throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend her for any mom or couple looking to add a doula to their pregnancy and birthing journey.

I cannot recommend Barbara enough! As a first time mom, I wanted to feel supported, informed, and confident throughout my pregnancy and delivery, and Barbara exceeded my expectations in every way. From the very beginning, Barbara made me feel heard, supported, and genuinely cared for. It was clear that she truly wanted me to have a positive birth experience and was committed to making sure both my husband and I felt prepared for what was ahead. She provided us with a very thorough childbirth education course, and we walked away feeling much more knowledgeable, confident, and prepared for labor and delivery. She was incredibly informative and took the time to make sure we understood what to expect. When it was finally time to deliver, Barbara was by my side the entire time. I labored for hours, and her presence made such a difference. She was patient, kind, reassuring, and a tremendous advocate for me throughout the entire process. She knew my birth plan well and made sure my preferences were understood and supported. Whenever I needed something, she was there to help, offer comfort, or simply reassure me when I needed peace of mind. Barbara was also incredibly well prepared. She made sure my delivery room felt calm, peaceful, and welcoming, and she came equipped with the tools and resources to help create a comfortable environment. Her attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and ability to anticipate my needs made me feel cared for every step of the way. Having someone like Barbara in my corner during such a vulnerable and life changing experience was truly invaluable. As a first time mom, there were naturally so many unknowns, but she helped ease my worries and gave me the confidence and reassurance I needed. Her compassion, patience, knowledge, and genuine dedication to her clients make her an exceptional doula. If you are expecting and looking for someone who will listen to you, advocate for you, educate you, and support you throughout your birth journey, I wholeheartedly recommend Barbara. I am so grateful to have had her by my side for such a special moment in my life, and I would absolutely recommend her to any expecting family!
