We were lucky enough to have Leah as our night nurse for six months, starting from the very first night we brought our son home from the hospital. From day one, she brought such a calm, reassuring presence into our home—and we instantly trusted her. Leah is incredibly knowledgeable and was a steady guide for us as first-time parents. She helped our son develop a strong, consistent schedule (both day and night), which made a huge difference for everyone’s sleep and sanity. She was also an amazing resource for postpartum support—always ready with thoughtful advice and encouragement when we needed it most. In addition, Leah is flexible and truly does her best to accommodate any schedule changes. She always made us feel like our family’s well-being was her top priority. Our baby absolutely adored her and gravitated toward her from the beginning. Leah made a meaningful impact on our family, and we’re so grateful for the care and peace of mind she gave us. If you’re considering night support for your newborn, I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Cory Atkins became my Doula during my sixth month of pregnancy. Before connecting with her, I was not going to use the service for my homebirth as I was not sold on the benefit after meeting with doulas in the Atlanta area and coming up unsuccessful due to feeling like a number for materialistic gain. After connecting and consulting with Cory, she completely changed that for me. I truly felt like my spirit was waiting for her. She is extremely intuitive, passionate about connecting with the clients she takes on and exudes a natural maternal power through knowledge and touch that blew me away. Her energy is very calming and welcoming, just like an old friend. After our initial consultation, she jumped right in and missed not one beat. I was able to open up to her easily and dig through layers of the emotional aspects of pregnancy that I was silently dealing with and go through my thoughts around having my first child naturally at home with all that is happening in the world . Cory was the complete package for me. She is very aware of energy and will not hesitate to remain flexible by checking in when she feels the need, scheduling extra sessions or even going virtual. As I reached the end of this pregnancy, her services shifted to comfort management, where she also educated my partner, and prepared my mind for the labor process. She is truly a gem of extreme benefit to anything that she is a part of and I am so grateful for the value she adds to my journey daily. Passion Burcy, First time mom

Tara Khamvongsa

Hi all mamas, I’m Tara and I’m certain I’m the right doula for you and your growing family. I’m a mother of three beautiful children and I’ve experienced three very different births personally: medicated with epidural, all natural, and an emergency c section. I also breastfed each child for over a year and offer lactation support postpartum. I fully understand the physical, emotional and spiritual challenges of pregnancy, childbirth and early motherhood. I believe a new version of the mother is born along with the babies. I’m here to advocate for you, to support you and your personal goals. The fear of the unknown is lesser when we know someone really has our back and I will be that person for you. I’ve been an unofficial doula and breastfeeding guru for friends and family for years. You will not have to do any of this alone. I’ll hold your hand, your legs lol and your baby.

I cannot recommend Tara highly enough as a doula. From the moment we met, her warmth and compassion were evident, and she made me feel completely at ease throughout my pregnancy, labor, and postpartum period. Tara was always available to answer my questions, no matter how trivial they seemed, and her knowledge and expertise were truly invaluable. During labor, Tara's calming presence and practical support made a significant difference. She helped me with breathing techniques, provided comforting massages, and continuously offered words of encouragement. Her ability to anticipate my needs and respond with such care was incredible. It felt like she was reading my mind at times! One moment that stands out is when I was feeling particularly overwhelmed during labor. Tara suggested a change in position and guided me through it, which made a world of difference in my comfort and progress. Her suggestions were always spot-on, and she worked seamlessly with the medical staff to ensure that my birth plan was respected. Postpartum, Tara continued to be a pillar of support. She checked in regularly, offering helpful advice on breastfeeding and newborn care, and was always there to lend an empathetic ear. Her support made the transition into motherhood much smoother, and I felt so much more confident knowing I had her by my side. Overall, Tara's dedication, professionalism, and genuine care set her apart. She truly goes above and beyond for her clients, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have had her as my doula. I highly recommend Tara to anyone looking for a supportive, knowledgeable, and compassionate doula.

DeVonne Mitchell

I have over 20 years of public health experience working at the private, state and federal level. The importance of public health and living a healthy lifestyle has been my life since I was a young girl! My mother set the stage early in life by encouraging an overall holistic approach. I witnessed my first birth at the age of nine and that exposure opened a world of possibilities. I have always had an interest in maternal and child health and a passion to support women during one of the most important seasons of life, the sacred transition into motherhood. After having children of my own, I answered the call to follow my dream and become a doula. My goal is to educate and provide resources for healthy food and lifestyle choices that can lead to a better quality of life for those in the family and future years. I received a B.S. degree in health promotion and disease prevention from the University of Southern California, and a M.P.H. in health policy and management from Emory University. Divine Rhythm Doula + Wellness Services was created to offer birth and postpartum support to expectant families. We provide educational resources and emotional support throughout the birth continuum (pregnancy, new parenthood and beyond). Our services are tailored to each individual’s birthing needs. Our mission is to ensure that our clients have the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual support they need to have a safe, enjoyable birth experience free from anxiety or fear.

My passion for emancipated birth stems from my belief that every birthing person deserves to feel autonomous, supported, and informed during this sacred process. Birth is not just a medical event; it’s a deeply personal and spiritual rite of passage that reflects the power and resilience of the human body and soul. I strive to create a safe and affirming space where families feel seen and heard, especially those from underserved communities. My work is grounded in advocacy, education, and holistic care, integrating evidence-based practices with traditional healing methods, such as herbalism and energy work, to honor the unique needs of each family. I cannot recommend Barbara enough! As a first time mom, I wanted to feel supported, informed, and confident throughout my pregnancy and delivery, and Barbara exceeded my expectations in every way. From the very beginning, Barbara made me feel heard, supported, and genuinely cared for. It was clear that she truly wanted me to have a positive birth experience and was committed to making sure both my husband and I felt prepared for what was ahead. She provided us with a very thorough childbirth education course, and we walked away feeling much more knowledgeable, confident, and prepared for labor and delivery. She was incredibly informative and took the time to make sure we understood what to expect. When it was finally time to deliver, Barbara was by my side the entire time. I labored for hours, and her presence made such a difference. She was patient, kind, reassuring, and a tremendous advocate for me throughout the entire process. She knew my birth plan well and made sure my preferences were understood and supported. Whenever I needed something, she was there to help, offer comfort, or simply reassure me when I needed peace of mind. Barbara was also incredibly well prepared. She made sure my delivery room felt calm, peaceful, and welcoming, and she came equipped with the tools and resources to help create a comfortable environment. Her attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and ability to anticipate my needs made me feel cared for every step of the way. Having someone like Barbara in my corner during such a vulnerable and life changing experience was truly invaluable. As a first time mom, there were naturally so many unknowns, but she helped ease my worries and gave me the confidence and reassurance I needed. Her compassion, patience, knowledge, and genuine dedication to her clients make her an exceptional doula. If you are expecting and looking for someone who will listen to you, advocate for you, educate you, and support you throughout your birth journey, I wholeheartedly recommend Barbara. I am so grateful to have had her by my side for such a special moment in my life, and I would absolutely recommend her to any expecting family!

“No matter how you choose to birth, I believe in the power of informed choice and support for making informed decisions about your care. I also recognize that every family and birth is unique, and I take pride in my dedication to customized support when holding space for a positive and empowering birth experience.” I’m Chawnie—a dedicated wife, twin mom, and DONA‑trained birth and postpartum doula with a deep passion for empowering families. My journey began while earning a biology degree at the University of West Georgia, which sparked my love for informed care. Since then, I’ve continued my education with intentional birth coaching, prenatal & postpartum yoga, and Pilates certifications—plus extensive training in breastfeeding support. As a twin mom myself, I intimately understand the unique needs of families expecting multiples—and I combine that lived experience with a commitment to evidence-based support. I’ve supported births of all kinds—natural, medicated, hospital, home, VBAC, and c-section—with a proud emphasis on honoring whatever birth path you choose. My approach is rooted in education, advocacy, and unshakeable calm. I aim to equip partners with practical tools, guide birthers through decisions with clarity, and ensure every voice in the room is heard. It’s an honor to usher families through such a sacred transition, fostering confidence, ease, and support from pregnancy through postpartum—and beyond.

Chawnie was the best doula our family could’ve asked for. Prior to and during the birth, she always helped us be as informed as possible. She also never pressured us into a single way of doing things, but acted as a guide for us to make the best decisions for me and my baby. Since my child was born, she’s remained a loving person I consider a part of our extended family and I would recommend her to anyone pregnant looking for a doula.
