We offer all potential clients a free consult in our cozy Atlanta office as an initial chance to get to know one another and to make sure we'd be a good fit. From there, as a part of your birth team, we become your new best friends- who know a lot about birth! You have unlimited access to us via phone, text, email, and zoom chat as well as access to our carefully curated library of resources. We have one in person meeting during the late third-trimester where we review the details of your birth plan, review comfort measures and coping techniques, and answer any last minute questions. From this discussion, we develop a personalized birth plan for you. Once labor begins, we provide support to you and your partner throughout the entire birth process. We utilize our expertise to help support you both physically and emotionally as well as provide any information and resources you may need as the birth process unfolds. After the birth, we remain with you for 1-2 hours to help insure a smooth transition into postpartum. We make sure that you're fed, comfortable, and that all of your questions have been answered. We also offer help with initial newborn feeding, if desired. Once you've transitioned home, we offer one optional in-home postpartum visit. Your doula will check in to make sure you are getting settled into your new roles, provide additional feeding support, and offer referrals to any necessary resources. We are also still available for phone, text, or email support during this period.

Bringing home a new baby, whether it's your first or your fifth, is always an adjustment, and postpartum doulas help support new parents through this time. Because what you're needing may change on a day to day basis, your doula will offer you customized care based on your needs for that day. Postpartum doula care includes light housekeeping (dishes, laundry, tidying up,) meal prep, basic lactation support, and help with both baby care and parent self-care. We also offer overnight postpartum doula support to help new families get the sleep they need. Many new parents find that they function very well throughout the day- as long as they're getting a decent nights sleep! During your overnight sessions we take over the baby care for you. This means taking care of diaper changes, swaddling, soothing, and feeding. We also provide you with some notes on baby each morning for you to review.
