I am looking to have an unmedicated birth. I have always wanted that and for different reasons I wasn't able to. One of them with the vbac was lack of support in terms of pain management. I did have a doula, and instead of guiding me through those hard moments, I felt like I had to ask for support and she was not proactive. That made me snap out of the mindset and [personal details hidden] and instead of cheering me on, guiding me to a different position or something similar, she just told me to get it. We're usually planners, and this pregnancy was a bit of a surprise, so Mom is feeling nervous. We're hoping to find an experienced doula who can guide us through the whole process, help us think through pain management, and help us avoid an unnecessary C-section by asking the right questions along the way.
