I am needing someone to guide me through natural birth and after. I have had a hard time giving birth in the hospital.

I’m looking for a doula to support me throughout my birth journey, including labor, delivery, and preparing for postpartum. I’m new to the whole doula experience, but I recently saw a friend have a doula, and I was amazed by the support she received. Her doula supported her throughout her pregnancy, helped prepare her for labor, coached and encouraged her during delivery, and even noticed things during labor that the nurses weren’t as attentive to. Seeing how much of a difference that support made for my friend really opened my eyes to wanting that same type of guidance and reassurance for myself. I would love to find someone who can help me feel prepared, supported, informed, and confident throughout this entire experience—from pregnancy to labor and into postpartum.

I plan to give birth in Valdosta, Ga. I am wondering if I can give birth at home but probably a hospital. I am looking for an African American Doula, with 3+ years experience. Possibly in need of light house work after baby is born.

We are looking for an experienced Mandarin-speaking birth doula who can provide labor support, hospital advocacy, emotional support, comfort measures, and breastfeeding guidance. My wife is more comfortable communicating in Mandarin Chinese, so bilingual support is very important. We are planning for a vaginal delivery with epidural pain management if needed, but we are open to medical recommendations. We are also interested in learning whether any services may be eligible for reimbursement through Aetna insurance.

I would like a licensed midwife or qualified birth professional present to monitor me and the baby throughout labor and delivery. My goal is to have as natural a birth as possible while being open to pain-management options if needed. I want freedom to move around, change positions, eat and drink as appropriate, and labor in a comfortable environment. Most importantly, I want both me and my baby to remain safe, and if complications arise, I am comfortable transferring to a hospital for additional medical care.

I plan to give birth in a hospital, unmedicated. I wanted to use nitrous oxide however my hospital doesn’t offer it so now I am wanting to have a natural birth. I am more so looking into how much it would cost to have a doula to get an idea of the cost.

It was at atrium health Navicent. I definitely do not want to give birth in a hospital again.
