My wife and I want to do a home birth, and want to walk the journey with a midwife.

23 weeks along I’m planning to have an unmedicated home water birth. I’m looking for a midwife who works with a hospital near by and can help with home birthing education.

I am 8 weeks along and hoping to have a homebirth in Hoschton, GA. This is my first pregnancy, and I would really love to find a Certified Nurse-Midwife who my insurance (Cigna) accepts. I have the Cigna Open Access Plus (OAP) plan. I am willing to drive up to an hour for office visits if the midwife could be at my home for the birth.

I am currently pregnant and looking for a midwife who can provide personalized, supportive maternity care with a strong focus on natural birth. I am open to either a home birth or a hospital birth, but having access to a water birth is very important to me. My ideal birth would be peaceful, low-intervention, and as natural as possible, while still prioritizing the safety of both me and my baby. I currently have an OB/GYN, so I would like to find a midwife who can either work collaboratively with my existing OB/GYN or clearly explain how transferring to midwifery care would work if that becomes necessary. I am especially interested in a provider who supports natural labor, freedom of movement, hydrotherapy/water labor or water birth, minimal unnecessary interventions, delayed cord clamping, skin-to-skin, and informed decision-making. I would like to use my health insurance if possible because I am working within a budget. Please let me know whether you accept insurance, whether you are in-network with my plan, and what services are covered. If insurance does not cover the full cost, I would also like to know the estimated out-of-pocket cost, payment options, deposits, and whether payment plans are available so I can financially plan ahead. My estimated budget is approximately $0–$2,000 out of pocket if insurance is not able to cover the majority of the cost, although I am willing to consider different options depending on what is included in the package and what my insurance will cover. I am looking for a midwife who is experienced with water birth and natural, low-intervention births and who will respect my birth preferences while also being prepared to recognize when additional medical care is necessary. I would prefer a calm, supportive, respectful birth environment where I feel heard, informed, and involved in decisions throughout pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

I’d like to give birth at home. All of my prenatal visits will be taken care of! I just want a midwife that takes insurance.

I need Support during my delivery at Emory Decatur. My plan is less intervention birth, strong mental support, friendly and knowledgeable doula. I am very scared of tearing and also making a bad decision out of fear. I’m scared of epidural and Pitocin as well (needles in general), because of some of their side effects.
