Baby is contact napping and bed sharing at night still at 10.5 months and will not sleep independent for more than 10-15 minutes at nap time. I’m trying to see if it’s possible to return to remote work and need help getting him to nap independently while I’m working. I’m okay with continuing to bedshare for sleeping overnight.
Our 4 month old is still waking up numerous times a night, requiring 3 feeds, and is struggling to sleep on his own. He won’t fall asleep on own in crib or with assistance, I have to be holding him before transferring him asleep. If I transfer too early, he will wake up. Similar situation with naps. He will only sleep for 20-30 mins and that’s after I held him for 15 of them. Contact naps could last hours if I didn’t wake him! He naps in his crib (or my arms) and bedtime sleep is still in bassinet near our bed. We’d like to move him to his own room. He usually goes to bed around 7:30, dream feed at 9:30. A good night would be him waking around 12:30 and 3:30 for feeds before waking around 5:30/6 in morning. Usually he won’t go back down in bassinet after 3:30 feed. Usually he wakes more often that those feeds and I have to settle him. We’d like to use science-backed, gentler methods, not the cry-it-out method. Open to virtual or in person.
