I plan to give birth in a hospital and due to some mental and physical health challenges I feel, from my research, that a doula would be the way to go. This is my first pregnancy and I don’t know what to expect. I’m not even sure where to start with budget. I’m on the lower income side so I’m not sure if I can even afford doula services. Update: looking for an individual who accepts TRICARE, even if it’s not in network. Having baby 3 at Hartford Hospital, due 2/11. Have never had a doula before, but am a little worried my husband might be traveling for the birth! Looking for services to be completely covered by Tricare ideally. Birth plan is hoped to be similar to others - labor as long as I can and then get an epidural. Have not had a C-section and am not planning on it for this baby.
