I need a midwife that is CNM certified so that Tricare will cover it. Unfortunately we cannot afford a midwife on our own and need to walk through what our insurance will cover. We don't know our situation yet as far as a home birth or needing a midwife to meet us at a nearby hospital when the time comes so we would love someone able to do either one. One big factor in desiring a midwife is to have the personal care and time of the same provider at each baby appointment and to be able to reach out to that midwife at anytime if I have questions or concerns along the way in pregnancy.

I am hoping for a natural, low intervention birth (water birth if possible) with a focus on breathing techniques, movement, and holistic comfort measures. I am looking for someone with an earthy, holistic approach who values education, informed consent, and emotional support. I want a doula who will help prepare me mentally and physically before birth and also provide guidance and support postpartum. Advocacy is very important to me I want someone who will help me feel heard, respected, and safe throughout the entire process.
