About me

Hello, my name is Mikayla. I am a Certified Newborn Care Specialist & Postpartum Doula with over 18 years of professional childcare experience. I have experience with ages up to 13 years old but I specialize in newborn/infant care. I have experience with preemies twins/multiples, and infants/children that have special needs. I have provided care as a mother's helper, sitter, nanny(day & night), respite provider, personal aide, newborn care specialist, and postpartum doula. I have assisted with therapies, medication administration, equipment maintenance, and more. I am a mother of two beautiful school age girls, an aunt, previous foster mom, older cousin, and oldest sibling so my experience goes beyond my years of professional experience.

I am a Certified Newborn Care Specialist & Postpartum Doula with over 18 years of professional childcare experience. I have experience with ages up to 13 years old but I specialize in newborn/infant care. I provide support to families (including siblings) that are expecting or have an infant under 19 months old. Overnight Newborn Care

Standard overnight care offered Mondays-Thursdays from 10:30pm-4:30am. Accepting ages 0 weeks - 18 months old (adjusted if applicable). Services include: -Attending to all of baby's night time needs -Washing baby's dishes (including pump parts if applicable) -Baby's Laundry (including nursing supplies if applicable) -Restocking baby's items -Emptying baby's trash -Straightening baby's space -And other small, quiet tasks for baby Pricing (For singleton. Please contact for multiples pricing.): Hourly (4-hour minimum): $35 -Sibling Care is an additional $2/hr per sibling if desired -Pet Care is an additional $1/hr per pet if desired -Mileage is $0.73/mile (only for miles driven while on the clock) -Anything over 45hrs/week will be considered OT & charged at 1.5x agreed upon rate -No cancellation fees

Awake Overnight Care

Frequently asked questions

What is standard, awake, and sick care?

Standard care is where I would rest while the baby is resting, as long as my primary duties are done and I am not needed elsewhere. Awake care is where I stay awake the entirety of my shift and actively work on tasks even when baby is resting (this includes overnights). Sick care is when at least one of the infants/children in my care are ill with something contagious or presenting contagious symptoms (this does not apply to an infant under 6 weeks old).

I do not want to use your sick care services. What happens if one of my children become ill while we are using your services?

I will notifiy you if your child becomes unwell. If you do not want to use my sick care services: -If there is a caregiver present, I would expect to be releived immediatly (within 15 minutes). -If there are no caregivers present, I would expect to be releived asap (within 2 hours).

Do you accept health insurance or workplace benefits that cover doula services?

I am not an approved provider with any networks at this time. I am willing to apply to become an approved provider with any network (I can not guarantee approval). Please contact me for more details or specific requests.

If I have other children or pets, do I have to pay for sibling/pet care?

No, if you do not want to use my sibling or pet services, it is not required.
