This is my second baby, planning to deliver at hospital and hoping for VBAC. First baby (2.5yrs old) was an induction turned emergency C where epidural and spinal tap failed, had to be put fully under. I’m 24 weeks today (Sept 30th 2026) and my family is moving to Erin, ON beginning of November. Searching for hospitals but heavily considering Headwaters in Orangeville.

I am not sure exactly where I would like to give birth, I aspire to give birth at home but since this is my first baby I’m not sure I’ll be able to. I would like to find a midwife that is compatible with me and my baby, I’m not sure what my budget. I hope to have a natural birth, with ease and confort and feeling like I am in control of my body. And I know what my body needs when etc. Only looking in Cambridge or surrounding areas. Thank you!

I would love to have a home birth, and am still hoping for midwife care, but do not presently have midwifery support as they are all booked near my due date. Without midwife care, I would give birth at the Orangeville hospital. I am very nervous for a hospital birth as I have heard lots of scary stories, so I am looking to potentially hire a birth doula for knowledge in delivery and post-partum, but mostly support during delivery. I would like to have an unmedicated birth, and have a very detailed birth plan of do's and don'ts (i.e. Vit K shot, eye ointment, cord clamping, baby care by hospital staff, etc.). I would love that my birth doula ensures that my birth plan is followed by the hospital staff. I would also love support for my partner, like preparing him for labour, and how he can best support me during labour. Our budget is $1,000.

Hi, I'm looking for someone who can support me and my husband through our first pregnancy. We are located in Niagara Falls and plan on have a hospital birth. We do not have budget in mind at the moment as I have only began my journey into this process. I would prefer if the provider was close by, certified and had a few years of experience with hospital and home births. Ideally, we would like a provider who will be able to support both me and my husband through this process. I am a speech language pathologist, 31 and my husband is a restaurant owner and a doctor, 32. We are both familiar with health care but would still like someone who is an expect in this field so that we may solely focus on taking care of ourselves and the baby when he/she arrives. If possible, we would appreciate help with sleep training, possible laundry and night duties for the first couple of weeks. I hope to hear from you soon!
