I'm planning on giving birth at a hospital (AdventHealth Wesley Chapel). I'm hoping to find someone in my area who takes Medicaid (FL Aetna Better Health). My biggest reasons for looking into doulas is because I have had a life-long struggle with depression and anxiety and pregnancy has definitely heightened all of that. I don't have any friends who have been through pregnancy or have kids, so I don't have anyone to go to for guidance other than calling my OB or asking ChatGPT. My fiancé could also benefit from some guidance. It's my first pregnancy and my will be my fiancé's first child, so we don't know much regarding birth plan besides that we want our son to be circumcised and we want him to get all medically recommended vaccines and medications. We are open to suggestions.

I’m not sure home birth or hospital Natural birth plan no cord clamping until done pumping

I plan on giving birth in a hospital but want a doula to be there to act as my advocate. I definitely want an epidural but I don’t want to be confined to pushing on my back and I don’t want to purple push. I also want to avoid things like an episiotomy and I do not want any students in the room at all. I basically just need someone to stand up for my wants and needs as I go through labor.

I am about 15 weeks right now. I have been waiting to get accepted by Medicaid before I began searching for a doula (not to have my hopes crushed)! I am 27, and this will be my first child. I believe I will most likely give birth at the hospital. I would like to do a natural birth, and I really want to get on top of it and get someone who I can trust to help me. My Tricare plan covers up to 6 hours prior to birth and one visit during l&d. 3- I’m wanting to try for a Vbac and labor unmedicated for the majority of labor, but am open to/considering an epidural once active labor occurs. I had an emergency induction with my first pregnancy at 35 weeks due to cholestasis, and ended up having an emergency c-section as well due to failure to progress and concerns of fetal distress by my OB. It was an incredibly traumatic experience that I’m hoping to avoid this time around. My main goal is to use the least amount of medical intervention possible.

I don't mind a hospital birth but I want an advocate there to coach me through labor and make sure the staff carry out my wishes even the baby is born.
