Looking for someone who can be with and an advocate for my husband and i during the birth of our first child. Birth will be at Advent Health Tampa and I plan on having an epidural. I'm a bit of a nervous person so having someone else there would be super helpful to me and my husband. Budget - unsure but I'd like to keep things at around $1200-$1500 and likely will want to add on postpartum time as well

1. I plan to give birth in the hospital, and with calming effects. 2. My estimated budget without any calculations: A maximum of $200 a week. 3. I want to be completely calm when I go into labor. It’s in my intentions to have these things available and set up in the delivery room: Essential oils and a diffuser, a small space for an “altar” of Jesus (really just a tiny ritual to feel close to him), a Himalayan salt rock, plenty of water on standby, as well as tranquil music, Italian ice and banana popsicles, and whatever else I can conjure up before the baby arrives. I do not want to be on my back giving birth. I want to be as relaxed as possible, considering my condition as a more naturally at-risk, pregnant woman. I want to be able to push quicker and easier than I may be able to on my back. If possible, I would love a short labor experience, as long as my baby allows me to.

I plan to give birth in my own home. I would like to deliver as naturally as I can. I'm looking to be as educated as I can be. I need someone who can explain all of my home birth options. I am interested in seeking out and using a doula for my birth. This is new to me! This isn’t second pregnancy and I had preeclampsia and had to be induced (not fun). I’m currently taking baby aspirin to hopefully reduce my chances. I’ve thought about and considered not getting an epidural. I’m scared but think it would help my chances of not tearing (also miserable). I want to be educated and learn different things than what I did the first time. I will give birth in a hospital. I have no idea how much that costs and if insurance covers that or not.
