Hi, I'm looking for a doula to support me through my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. My due date is April 2026, and I’m hoping to find someone who can offer guidance and support throughout the pregnancy, be present during labor, and provide postpartum support and advice as well. I will give birth that the Alexandra Cohen hospital in NYC. I don't have a detailed birth plan yet but so far, I know that I would like to have a vaginal birth with epidural, and I'd like to try to deliver in a standing position. I am new to the idea of having a doula. I would like to do more preparation work to hopefully have a smoother delivery. My first experience of childbirth, ended in a natural delivery that was forceps assisted, and I had 3+ hours of pushing before we decided between forceps or C section. I had to be induced after 11 days being overdue. I would hope that with this next pregnancy I can go naturally and have way less medications than I had the first time. I want to trust that my body knows what to do, but I need to help train it to achieve my goal. I understand despite some things are out of my control, I can help myself to have a better delivery and post partum outcome. 1. Monmouth Medical Center 2.
