Interested in a Medicaid covered doula. Also have commercial insurance as well, just to be assisted during birth and sometime after. I have certain birth plans I would like to follow but have not set in stone, which is another reason I’m looking into a doula.

I’m delivering in a hospital looking to add personal support to my care team. I am unsure of average costs of doulas so unsure of budget. My birth plan is to use nitrous oxide until at least 7cm, if I am unable to feel present in my birth then I will elect to do epidural.
