Hellos I am planing on giving birth at patewood hospital in Greenville. We are second time parents. Possibly looking to do a natural birth. I don’t have too much of a birth plan, but I do know we want no vax and no eye ointment.

I am interested in a home birth/Natural birth. My partner and I left our previous Provider in southern pines for concerns of "Modern Birthing Practices" and not supporting our decision for a home or natural birth, also we wanted to keep ultrasounds and doppler to a minimum and they highly disliked that. we have received 2 ultrasounds so far and genetic testing, and they bragged that everything looked great with the baby. So far no health concerns or high-risk pregnancy, so we feel great about a home birth. We are looking for a Midwife and doula in the area.

I plan to give birth at WinnMed, Decorah IA. I am on Medicaid and hope to find affordable quality help through a doula. I want to try to do a natural, no epidural birth and use alternate pain relief unless I need to do otherwise. My partner would like to be included and involved as much as possible as possible during birth.

During the Birth Communication: Ask the staff to explain what is happening, and consider requesting they tell you when they are ready to begin. Skin-to-Skin: Request immediate skin-to-skin contact in the operating room (OR) if no medical issues arise. This is my first pregnancy and both my partner and I will be first time parents. I’m looking for help understanding my body as baby and I continue to grow. I live far from my mother and sisters so it’s a very emotional time without that support. I would love to learn new things for baby safety, feeding, sleep as well as what’s good for me as I’m nourishing myself and baby. I plan to give birth in the hospital with very minimal interventions, but I’m currently unsure what a back up plan would look like and I could use some support with creating that backup plan. Our first birth plan is to be very intimate and peaceful but my partner can also use some understanding and learning points for how to support, and where, at the time of birth. Once baby arrives, my partner won’t have the opportunity to be home with us long, and I’m planning to be home for 2 months postpartum. We would absolutely love the night support and the continuous learning. We have family support but we really want the first week to be only us and baby, as well as have strong boundaries with family about baby with hygiene and safety so this is where the help would come in. I feel like there is more to discuss to better understand match, but I am still very new!

I would do it in the hospital but I don’t want it to feel like I’m in the hospital, I don’t want the staff bombarding me and intervening every 5 seconds. I want to do it naturally, in better positions than what the hospital wants me to do… I’m not positive about all of the rest but I just want someone that’s going to vouch for me while I’m vulnerable and I fear my husband is too nice and they will walk all over him… I’m not even sure about an estimated budget but I do know I would need someone who takes tricare to help with the cost!
