We’re a young couple this is our first time and we’re just trying to figure things out to ease our minds a bit.

I am currently planning a hospital birth, but wanting to switch to an at home water birth. My birth plan is an unmedicated, all natural water birth. In a low light, calm, comfortable environment. I’m not exactly sure of my budget honestly.

I’m looking for someone trauma informed to assist in advocating during labor & delivery and for providing after birth care & support. I’m willing to pay what’s necessary for the right fit. I’d love a natural vaginal birth in a birthing center (not home but not hospital either). Ideally minimal tearing/intervention.

I tend to live a more holistic lifestyle and I'm overwhelmed with all the information. I just found out I was pregnant and I want baby to be as healthy as possible and born with least amount of interventions. I need someone educated on natural birthing and pregnancy. Looking for a certified doula who can help with prenatal planning for delivery, be present from start of delivery up until baby is able to successfully latch/initiate breastfeeding, advocate to medical professionals for me and baby, help avoid unnecessary medical intervention, be very well trained and experienced, able to help with placenta encapsulation, help with lactation support. Post partum support preferred but not needed.

My pregnancy with my first child seven years ago was rushed and forced into a C-section. I’ve always known and felt something was wrong about the way that I had my first child but I am 16 weeks pregnant now more educated and I am looking to have a vbac , I was going the regular route by going to a ob but she has rubbed me the wrong way a few times and I want someone that is going to help me have my baby the natural way I can the first time around. I was robbed out of seeing my husband, cut the umbilical cord skin to skin and even breast-feeding. I know that I can do it and I do not want a doctor to force me to have a C-section if I do not need it just because I had one before that I did not need. I want to either be in contact with someone who can deliver my child for me or send me to providers that can support my decision. I did plan on giving birth at Northside Hospital. I do have Medicaid. I just want a natural birth that I am owed.

I am considered a high-risk pregnancy due to complications in my previous pregnancy. During my last pregnancy I experienced severe preeclampsia and stopped breathing, which was a life-threatening situation. Because of this history, I want additional support during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. A doula can help monitor my well-being, provide emotional and physical support, help reduce stress, and assist with recognizing warning signs early. This support can also help reduce my risk of postpartum complications and improve my overall health outcomes.
