Really looking for someone to ground me and during birth and help me make educated decisions that I will be happy with in the long term and not get pressured into making choices in the heat of the moment in childbirth. I am looking to do a hospital birth.

I plan to give birth in a hospital, however I would like the option of water therapy provided before birth, or a water birth if possible. I’m still pretty early in my pregnancy so I don’t have a specific birth plan written out yet. I have Medicaid and a low to medium budget. The more I can get covered by my insurance the better. I plan to have an unmedicated home water birth. I wish to give birth in a kneeling position in a birthing pool. I wish to have movement during labour and a calm environment with dim lighting. I only want fetal monitoring if my baby is in distress or if medically necessary. I do not wish to be offered pain medication. After the baby is born i do not want to cut the umbilical cord right away until I decide when the right time is to do so.

My husband and I are looking for a doula who can support us throughout pregnancy, labor, and delivery, with the goal of helping me labor at home for as long as it is safe and appropriate before going to the hospital. One important part of my birth story is that I have a significant phobia of needles. I've been working through it extensively with my therapist and have made a lot of progress. In the past, I would typically faint after receiving a needle—not because of the pain, but because of the anxiety surrounding it. I'm proud to say that over the past year I have successfully gotten through all of my bloodwork and other needle-related appointments without fainting. I am open to having an epidural if it becomes the best option during labor, but the thought of one is still terrifying and intimidating. My hope is to prepare for an unmedicated labor and delivery while remaining flexible if circumstances change. We're also hoping for guidance and education throughout this process. As first-time parents, we'd love support in learning about labor, birth, pain management techniques, postpartum recovery, and breastfeeding/lactation so that we feel as confident and prepared as possible.

Hello, I had a c section last year (march 2025) and the support was difficult afterwards. I am now going to be a mom of 2 under 2 and worried about another possible c section but require/request help afterwards regardless with my son and the baby. My son is shy with most people so I am requesting more help with the new baby so I can help navigate my son etc. I am on Ontario Works and currently in a shelter in Strathroy Ontario and open to flexible options. thank you.
