Hi! I’m 26 weeks pregnant with our baby girl (due June 11) and planning to deliver in Houston, at a hospital. I have TRICARE West Prime and am hoping to find a doula who accepts TRICARE and is familiar with the authorization process. I’m also hoping to work with a Christian doula whose support aligns with our faith and values. I’m looking for calm, encouraging labor support and would love to connect to see if we’d be a good fit. I am looking for a doula and midwife to help me learn and deliver my baby. I need someone who has medical abilities. I’m going to want epidermal so if I can get that at home then I’ll do home birth but if I can’t I’ll do it at the hospital. I’m not sure what my budget would be.

As a first time Mom with no experience in births or hospitals or babies, the idea of having someone who knows what is happening and what is going to happen sounds like a comfort. I also like the idea of having someone come into my home with a new baby to provide suggestions on breastfeeding, sleep schedules, etc.
