Hi! I need a doula in the tricare east network and covered by incerance that can help me in a water birth at a birthing center. We will be moving half way through my pregnancy to Texas. This is my first bag so I have no idea what to expect. I do have some pre existing health issuses but have no been deemed high risk yet.

I plan to give birth in a hospital, in Georgetown Tx. I have Tricare Prime, and I am hoping that the majority of the cost can be covered by insurance. Ideally, I will have an unmedicated birth.

Giving birth at Carl. R. Darnell Army medical center, I am covered under tricare prime for 6 hours of doula care and an untimed visit during birth. I am 17 weeks with no birth plan yet.

I plan on delivering at the hospital. I have not thought about a budget and is open to negotiating. For the birth, I am planning on a scheduled c-section, however, if I have to deliver vaginally, I want an epidural.

I plan to give birth to my first baby Angelo at st david’s center in austin, by 32nd st. I’m hoping to go through my insurance with the cost, I wish/want to give birth naturally and hold off on getting the epidural for as long as possible, while using nitrous oxide.

My birth plan includes dim lighting, soft background music, delayed cord clamping, immediate skin to skin contact, pain management(epidural) at my request. Absolutely no C-section unless it’s a life or death emergency. Baby will remain in the room at all times. Only My husband and doula are allowed in the delivery room

Hey! So I'm planning my 3rd birth. The first was an emergency c- section and the second also a c-section, 4yrs ago. I had a very unsupportive/hands off midwife previously. I've found an amazing midwife this time and am planning a VBAC. Currently planning a birthing center birth (birthing center is in Bastrop Texas) but considering homebirth.. I'm not supper stuck on a particular bith plan. My goal is a healthy baby and a bit of redemption from my previous births that didn't go the way I planned at all. I'm a Christian, mildly crunchy farm mom who just wants a calm, peaceful birth resulting in a healthy baby and minimal trauma! 😅 I'm looking for a support person to remind me I am capable and keep me focused. I had post partum depression last time so some postpartum support may be good for me, although I have more family support this time too! We don't have insurance. I don't know what a doula costs typically, that's part of why I'm reaching out, to see if this could be an option for us. Thanks!!
