My partner and I are both sick and struggling to take care of our baby. She was sick but has recovered. I don’t know if you do overnight shifts for babies recovering from or who have just recovered from illness, or in homes where people are sick, but in case you do, I’m reaching out to see if you might be able to do an overnight shift tonight, tomorrow night, or both so my partner and I can try to rest and recover.

I’m very interested in planning a home birth and get someone could help near night like two days per week. I would love your support in this special and meaningful time for our family.

York Hospital We are hoping for as much of a freebirth as possible, using a CNM in a Hospital setting (due to my having Type 1.5 diabetes and my oldest daughter requiring NICU support for hypoglycemia). It is our goal that my husband will be the primary birth coach, with doula support for us both. We are hoping to find a Christian doula that can also support us spiritually! Thank you!

Hi LaurieAnn, I am the adoptive mother of a baby due mid to late March. I’ve been searching for postpartum support without much luck. We live in Norwich (13815). I’m an older mom, 41, living with my husband and a few dogs. I had miscarriages but no deliveries due to premature ovarian failure. I am attempting to induce lactation and Upstate Breastfeeding medicine will see me, but not until February. I guess I just thought I should reach out to a real person instead of relying solely on the internet! If you have any resources to point me towards, I would appreciate it.

As a second-time mom, I’m looking for a supportive and reassuring doula who can walk alongside me during this pregnancy and birth. Even though this isn’t my first experience, I still deeply value emotional support, consistent reassurance, and someone who can help me feel calm and confident throughout the process. I would love guidance with preparation, comfort measures during labor, and advocacy if I feel overwhelmed. Most importantly, I’m looking for someone compassionate, grounding, and communicative who will help me feel supported every step of the way.

Plan to give both in hospital. Looking for a birth doula during labor process in hospital. Then looking for a postpartum doula or nanny (to help support mom with baby and toddler at home postpartum). Would ideally like 2-3 months of help, as my husband travels a lot for work.

I want an African American women to be my doula, I would like a natural birth no medication, delayed cord clamping, breathing exercises, I don’t want to give birth on my back, immediate skin to skin, education on what is okay for the baby not to have for example vaccinations,. I plan on giving birth a Penn State Hershey Hospital. My mother and partner will be in there with me. We are Muslim so after baby is born father needs to do a religious prayer in babies right ear, so therefore when baby is born we need that time for him to do so like three minutes. I want baby in the room all the time even during assessments unless medical emergency and if that occurs my mother or partner can go with them. Things to prepare for birth. And I plan on breast feeding.

I’ve had 3 miscarriages in the last 5 years. My fourth pregnancy, 2 years ago was a healthy, full term baby who is now 2 and doing amazing with no complications during my pregnancy or my delivery. I’m now 21 weeks pregnant with my second son and my experience with UPMC has been nothing but stressful and uninformative. My charts have yet to be corrected for the last 2- 3 months I’ve been going to them. I’m at the point where I don’t feel like my doctors are listening or caring about my wishes/concerns. I am starting to lean towards a home birth with minimal intervention. With my son I got to 9 1/2 cm dilated before I got my epidural last minute and had no issues or barely any discomfort with my contractions. This one is a bit more uncomfortable and I would like to try to do the same as before but without medicine. I have no issue going to a birthing center if need be, I know the travel home with my last hurt me a lot so I was hoping to minimize the distance of travel for my second time around. I also had issues with my son latching for breastfeeding and went to see a lactation consultant twice but she took over an hour to come see us each time which resulted in my son screaming of hunger so I would end up bottle feeding him before she’d come as she took too long and then refused to help us when she heard he was bottle fed so I would like to learn more about breastfeeding if possible either through classes or having someone help me after birth. Our budget is probably $2500-4000. I’m not sure what my insurance covers but would love to look into it more with someone if we can. I’m at the point where I don’t trust my current providers, as too much has gone wrong or missed and I just want to cancel all appointments until I give birth so I’m hoping this is a better alternative for me.

I am looking for doula support during birth and potentially postpartum. My husband and I felt very prepared, we read the bradley method and had been practicing quite a bit for a natural birth. I didn’t think there was a need for a doula because we seemed to be a great team. At our last ultrasound we got news that baby is measuring small and are pushing for induction. Now I feel silly for not hiring a doula sooner. It feels like such a huge gap in communication between us and the doctors even though we have done everything to educate ourselves. I am hoping to find someone that can help fill that gap, help us to feel like we are making informed choices and to support me during labor so I don’t have to rely fully on my husband in case of any complications.
