I would strongly prefer a Black woman doula with at least two years of experience. I am 33, this is my first baby, and I am not high risk. I plan to primarily breast feed and pump. I am looking for a doula to support in preparing for birth, labor and delivery, and post partum. I have Aetna insurance, POS.

Breastfeeding assistance and guidance with my newborn

4 day old infant, not feeding enough. Baby was born with slightly high bilirubin and must eat in order to flush it from her system. Will sometimes latch well and other times rejects the breast all together.

My baby is 6 weeks old and will cry a few minutes into feeding and won’t relatch once she starts crying. It seems like she’s overwhelmed from the milk flow and then won’t get enough milk because she only stays on for a little bit so I end up pumping most of the time.
