Hi! My name is Zoe, I’m 25 years old, having my second baby, and would love to achieve an unmedicated birth (at a hospital). With my first baby, I did a good amount of research but didn’t realize just how important practicing breathing/relaxing/coping mechanisms are! I unfortunately had to be induced because my water started trickling with no signs of labor. Around 6-7 cm I asked for an epidural. There were no complications. This time around I kind of know what I’m walking into and therefor am preparing more through reading/practicing Hypnobirthing, and switched providers so that I’m delivering closer to home. I’m only 5 minutes away from Newton Hospital and would love to labor at home for as long as possible, God willing! Considering hiring a doula to help me cope alongside my husband, because, wow, it’s so needed! Squeezing some combs wasn’t cutting it last time!

York Hospital We are hoping for as much of a freebirth as possible, using a CNM in a Hospital setting (due to my having Type 1.5 diabetes and my oldest daughter requiring NICU support for hypoglycemia). VBAC Birth Preferences – August 2026 • I am planning a trial of labor after cesarean (TOLAC) following one prior low-transverse C-section for breech presentation. • I desire an unmedicated vaginal birth and plan to use non-pharmacologic comfort measures. • I decline induction of labor, including prostaglandins and Pitocin, unless a clear medical emergency arises. • I decline labor augmentation with Pitocin. • Continuous fetal monitoring is acceptable. • I prefer freedom of movement and upright labor positions as medically feasible. • Artificial rupture of membranes only with informed consent. • I prefer delayed cord clamping if baby is stable. • I understand the risks of TOLAC and request shared decision-making if concerns arise. • If cesarean becomes necessary, I request: • Clear communication • Partner present • Gentle cesarean when possible

I recently found out I’m pregnant. I’m very interested in having a midwife as my primary provider, and I’d also like to work with a doula who collaborates well with midwives during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. I would like to deliver at Paoli Hospital or Pottstown Hospital, whichever is most appropriate based on my care team and availability. I would like an estimate of the cost for prenatal care and delivery with a midwife. Is my insurance accepted, and what would my out-of-pocket expenses likely be? Birth plan and preferences for your reference: Labor & Pain Management: • Prefer non-medical pain relief first: walking, changing positions, hydrotherapy (shower/bath), breathing techniques. • Intermittent fetal monitoring preferred over continuous, unless medically indicated. • Avoid routine interventions (induction, episiotomy, continuous IV fluids) unless medically necessary. • Open to midwife/OB guidance if complications arise. Someone to help support me through a un medicated birth (as long as all goes well). I had back surgery in march and am looking for someone to help support my decision for a natural vaginal birth vs an elected c section. John Hopkins Hospital Price: $1,800-2,000 My goal is to have an Unmedicated birth. This will be baby #2 for us. I had a pretty bad experience with my first where my wishes and concerns were completely ignored. I really wish I had someone there to advocate for me when I couldn’t think clearly, my nurse was very evil person and caused a lot of pain and negativity while I was in labor. I get back labor, and the pain is so unbearable I’d really need someone to help me cope and push through! I’d also love a doula who is very informative on certain things hospitals tend to force mothers into. Would love if my doula were seasoned with At least 4 years of experience. I had a very hard time with postpartum recovery which I believe hindered me from being able to breastfeed since I was under so much stress. I would really love to breastfeed this time around.
