I plan to give birth in a hospital, however, I would like minimal interventions. That said, I am looking for a birth doula who will go over my birth Plan and possibly intercept hospital staff from unnecessary interventions, coercion etc. Im looking to possibly go through insurance!

I would like to receive pain meds but I also want to be able to move during labor. I'd like to avoid episiotomies of possible. I want a calm environment. Have never had a doula before, but am a little worried my husband might be traveling for the birth! Looking for services to be completely covered by Tricare ideally. Birth plan is hoped to be similar to others - labor as long as I can and then get an epidural. Have not had a C-section and am not planning on it for this baby.

I definitely plan on getting an epidural for pain management, but I still want the experience to feel as calm and supported as possible. My budget is around $800–$1,500, depending on what’s included. For my birth plan, I’m hoping for a smooth vaginal delivery, but I’m also realistic and open to whatever is safest for me and the baby.
