I am planning to give birth with the midwives in the beacon health system. I would like a doula who can help with labor coaching, specifically with suggesting best labor position and strategies for labor progression and pain management. I plan to have a water birth. Our estimated budget is $800.

I just found out my husband and I are expecting! For the past two years, I have become fascinated with the thought of having an unmedicated birth. I'd consider myself pretty educated in the birth world (also because I grew up with a mom who worked in Labor and Delivery as a nurse). I'd love to labor at home as long as I can and then transfer over to the hospital. My dream would be a birth center, but there isn't any near me. I would love it to just be my husband and I with the support and help from a doula. I'm looking for someone who can help advocate for me during labor, especially in a hospital setting.

Recently moved and seeking information on local options for natural birthing support at local hospital for 1st time mom.

Wondering for a friend if you do placenta encapsulation ?

I will be giving birth at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. I can not go over $2,000, and am hoping to spend less than that if I can! My birth plan includes a natural birth. Vaginally, with no epidural. I do NOT want to be induced unless it is literally life or death. I plan to move around and try several positions, and am very interested in a water birth. This is my first child! 😁

I want a natural home birth. Just want to make it as personable as possible for me and my husband. I want to have as much hands off as possible to allow my body to do what it knows to do on my own. Like to go through my Insurence if possible.

I am hoping for a VBAC after a semi-traumatic cesarean experience. I believe my best chances to achieve this would be through help of a doula and a midwife, as the current OB I see pushed for an early induction last time and I can feel that's the direction she's pushing for this second pregnancy. The OB only pushed for induction and brought up cesarean based on baby's projected size. First son was 8lbs 12.5oz at birth; so not small, but certainly not over 10lbs as they had insisted. My current plan is to give birth at Henrico Doctor's Hospital (where I delivered my first), but am open to other options such as a home birth or a birthing center. I would love to try for unmedicated this go around. I am not a high-risk pregnancy, I have a healthy BMI, baby is healthy, no gestational diabetes, no markers for preeclampsia or hypertension, so I believe and feel strongly that I can attempt a VBAC + TOLAC.

We plan on giving birth at the hospital as it is our first and I found out I have gestational diabetes. We don't know what to expect for budgeting for a doula, we're hoping to have someone who's fully authorized and certified with Tricare for direct billing. Natural birth, hopefully unmedicated, lots of movement, and showers hopefully helping with the pain. I'm really wanting to try to deliver vaginally, but I'm nervous about my size and pain management.

I am planning to give birth and st Joseph’s hospital, who accepts insurance and looking for a doula who will be with me through the whole labor and delivery portion as my husband will have to be home with our son.

I plan to give birth at UVA in Charlottesville, Virginia. I would like a Doula to meet me in my home before I go into the hospital. I’m in Piney River, Virginia, which is 45 minutes to an hour from Charlottesville. I would like to labor as long as possible at home to need somebody who can help me to labor at home, but to know when to go in to the hospital, I would like a natural low intervention birth. I would like somebody to help me with breathing in different massages and pain coping mechanisms for labor I would like somebody to advocate for me at the hospital for the things that I find important. It may not be able to stand up for while laboring and delivering. And do not have a budget at this time

I would like an African American midwife. I know the risks that African American face, while giving birth, and I am 35 years old. I am considered a high risk pregnancy and want to be mindful of those things. I want to do a home water birth.

Need help deciding where to birth. Education on birthing and mental prepping for birth. Unmedicated is the goal.
