About Nora

Certified as a postpartum doula in 2016, I offer holistic support for families as you navigate one of life's most tender transitions. My work is informed by years of early childhood and family care. I continue to deepen my practice with every family I work with. Becoming a mother myself in 2024 added a new layer of lived experience to my work. I bring a robust toolkit to help your family systems thrive, grounded in the deep understanding that every family is unique. Alongside my doula training, I hold a degree in psychology, specialized training as an ADHD coach, and a certification in climate psychology. I am also pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology focused on collective trauma and social healing. My work is deeply personal, informed by a lifetime of observing family patterns and understanding how intentionally building our home relationships - with ourselves, our partner(s), and our children - contributes to the healing of our world.

Frequently asked questions

When should I reach out?

Any time is a good time. Some families reach out during pregnancy to prepare, others in the tender early weeks, and some a little later as questions and rhythms shift. I've even had couples reach out to process wether having children (or another child) is right for them. Whenever you find yourself wondering about receiving support, that’s the right moment.

How do we begin?

The simplest way is to book a free 30-minute consultation. We’ll talk about where you are, what you’re hoping for, and whether we’re a good fit. Here is the link: https://calendly.com/noralisette0/30min

What does a first session look like?

Whether online or in person, there’s nothing to prepare. I meet you exactly where you are. Messy home, half dressed, eating a snack, child might be wailing, maybe just had a hard exchange with your partner — no matter what is swirling in your day, I meet you there. We check-in and unload what you are carrying. While I’m with you, we tend to the needs of everyone in the household as much as possible, while also putting supports and rhythms in place that can keep working after I leave.

What do online session look like?

Much like sitting together at your kitchen table, at bedside, or in your living room — just through a screen. We meet over video, and process all the same things we would in person — for postpartum sessions this is often baby and self care, feeding, sleep, family rhythms and dynamics, and much more. Whatever kind of session we are having, we begin with what feels most important - or heaviest - that day. There is space problem solving, education, questions, and processing. I identify things you can do now to ease what’s difficult and help prevent small challenges from becoming bigger ones. Online sessions are deeply personal, responsive, and grounded in what you need in that moment.

Can you support the whole family?

Yes. Partners, siblings, grandparents, and even the family pets are all part of the picture. Whether it’s helping an older child adjust to a new baby, offering a grandparent reassurance or redirection, or supporting with family dynamics, care for the baby works best when it includes care for everyone around them too. Care for the birthing person is, of course, a primary focus. Support can also include care for the family when arrival at home is delayed for any reason or when the birthing person is not present. I am honored to support single-parent homes as well as non-traditional configurations.

How much do you charge?

Every family's needs are different, so rates depend on the kind and length of support you're looking for. We can talk through options and find something that fits during your free 30-minute consultation — no obligation. If you are on Medi-Cal, my services are free for you prenatal and in the first year postpartum.

Do you take insurance?

I am currently in process to be able to bill Medi-Cal! Other than Medi-Cal, I do not bill insurance myself. Some families are able to submit receipts for reimbursement through their insurance, HSA, or FSA — you’re welcome to reach with what your insurance requests out and I’m happy to provide what you need.

What do daytime postpartum session look like?

Daytime sessions are up to four hours of flexible, hands-on support—available both in-person and online—covering infant feeding, sleep strategies, and newborn care as well as birth story processing, emotional support, and family role adjustments. In-person visits may also include light housework, nursery organization, meal prep, and trusted baby care so you can rest and recharge or have time to be with your other children or your partner. Most importantly we meet the needs arising that day.

What do overnight postpartum session look like?

Overnight sessions give you up to ten hours of accompaniment and support in your home. Support is tailored to you and may include settling your baby while you sleep, bringing your baby to you for feeds, light meal preparation & tidying, sleep strategies, and feeding/pumping support. With another pair of caring hands you can rest into, we center your and your baby's physical and emotional wellbeing as you recover after birth, and bring overnight rhythms that set you up for success.

Tell me more about you?

I've been working with new parents since 2016, when I certified as a postpartum doula. Before that, years of early childhood and family care taught me that no two families — and no two babies — are alike, and that the best support meets people exactly where they are. Alongside my doula training I have a degree in psychology and will be working towards my doctorate in clinical psychology, specializing in collective trauma and social healing. I also hold a certificate in climate psychology, and have been trained as an ADHD coach for adults. I have many years of experience, education, and research in breaking cycles of trauma. Becoming a mother myself in 2024 added a whole new layer to this work. I now know the tenderness of these weeks from both sides, and it has deepened my respect for every family's need for accompaniment on this path. My work is deeply personal, informed by a lifetime of observing family patterns and understanding how intentionally building our home relationships — with ourselves, our partner(s), and our children — contributes to the healing of our world.
