Care Routine: Handle all burping, holding upright, diaper changes, and resettling in the nursery crib/bassinet. 2. The Single Overnight Pump Session Single Wake-Up ([e.g., 2:30 AM]): At the agreed time, gently wake Mom or bring her the electric pump setup. Collection & Storage: When Mom finishes, collect the freshly pumped milk. Pour it into breast milk storage bags, label with the date, time, and exact volume (oz/mL), and place flat in the freezer. Cleaning: Wash and sanitize the pump flanges and parts immediately after collecting them so they are ready for the morning. 3. End-of-Shift Hand-Off Night Log: Record all feed times, amounts consumed (from thawed milk), diaper changes, and sleep intervals. Inventory Check: Note how many frozen milk bags were used during the shift so Mom knows when to replenish the fridge/freezer stock. Morning Prep: Ensure all bottles, pump parts, and counter spaces are clean, sanitized, and organized for the morning.

Looking for help in the days after our baby’s birth. Confirming that the doula/support worker needs to be registered as a social worker as that’s what our coverage is for. Likely around 4-6 hours a day for 3-4 weeks is great.
