First time mom! Planning on an unmedicated hospital birth.

I will be delivering at Phelps Hospital. Was hoping my insurance would cover some or all of the cost; but just found out they don’t. Hoping to find someone that is willing to work with me on price. I’d like to be natural as possible but open to any medically necessary interventions to result in a healthy baby and mama. I want to learn about laboring positions and what I can do to reduce risk of tearing

I will be going to valley hospital in Paramus nj. This is my fourth baby, I’m currently on Lovenox so maybe an epidural if timing works out but I’d like to be prepared for one without.

Birth at hospital, help with feeding, birth plan is to go no epidural and vaginal if possible. I hope to not need any medical intervention such as pitocin etc.

I am looking for a Muslim birth doula to support me for an unmedicated, natural birth. I am due on January 11 and plan to deliver at Mount Sinai West in New York City, where I am receiving midwifery care through Oula Health. While my family lives in the Westchester/Mount Vernon area, I will be traveling into Manhattan for the delivery. We have not finalized our exact budget yet but are open to discussing rates. My ideal birth plan focuses on creating a calm, private, and spiritually aligned experience that honors Islamic values through emotional and spiritual encouragement. I’m a first-time mom expecting a baby girl in early February 2027, and I’m looking for an experienced, certified birth doula who is warm, patient, reassuring, and knowledgeable. I would love someone who has several years of experience supporting first-time mothers and who is comfortable helping me understand my options throughout pregnancy, labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. I’m looking for someone who can provide both emotional and practical support, help me prepare for labor, explain what to expect, help me advocate for my preferences, and provide calming guidance during labor and during postpartum. It’s also important to me that my partner is included and supported throughout the process, so I’d love a doula who can help him feel confident and involved as well. I don’t currently have any special-care needs, but as a first-time mom I value having someone experienced who I can ask questions and who can help me feel prepared rather than overwhelmed. I’m primarily looking support in postpartum services, particularly newborn care, breastfeeding/feeding support, sleep guidance, and help adjusting during the first few weeks. My budget is flexible depending on the doula’s experience, certifications, services included, and level of prenatal/postpartum support.
