My name is Franqi Aranda, I plan on having an at home birth. I want to find a midwife or doula that can help me with giving birth and the aftercare, someone who knows how to take care of their patients and knows how to do water births. Budget wise, anyone that takes blue cross blue shield insurance.
Rush hospital is where I plan to give birth (main campus). My estimated budget would be 1500-2000. My birth plan is still being developed. I know I would want an epidural and pain meds as I’m not good with pain. I don’t really want to be induced unless medically necessary. I would like to allow my body to naturally take its course. I don’t really want a lot of medical intervention aside from pain relief. I would like an experienced doula who is certified (at least 2 years experience). I’m mainly looking for a birth doula to support me during labor as I’m very anxious about giving birth for the first time. I would like someone who would advocate for me during this time, help with relaxation, pain techniques, birthing positions. I also feel like they could help my partner better support me as well. I have blue cross blue shield of Illinois PPO.

Di-di twins delivering at Northwestern in Chicago. Looking for post partum doula / night nurse capabilities for a provider that accepts BCBS insurance (I had medical necessity but have struggled to find provider). 38 years old and delivered previous two children without an epidural and with the support of a doula.
I’m a first-time mom planning a hospital birth, and I’m looking for a doula who can help guide me through the process and options, especially since I’m still figuring out what I want my birth plan to look like. I’m feeling a bit torn between wanting to stay mobile during labor and pushing in a position other than on my back, while also considering the possibility of an epidural. I’d love support understanding how those options can work together and what flexibility looks like in a hospital setting. I’m also looking for help with lactation and postpartum feeding. I want to breastfeed but am planning to combo feed, and I’d really appreciate guidance on how to do that in a way that supports my milk supply and feels manageable as a first-time mom. Overall, I’m hoping for someone who can educate me, help me feel confident in my choices, advocate for me during labor if needed, and support me both during birth and in the early postpartum period.
My due date is July 19, 2026. I plan to give birth at a hospital near Orland Hills, IL. I am looking for prenatal visits, labor support at the hospital, and postpartum visits after birth. This is very important to me as I want emotional and physical support during labor.
