I don’t have a set birth plan yet, but I’m looking for support and ideas and someone to help me make the birth plan. I’m looking for an experienced Doula to guide me through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I am looking for a consistent face to be my support during this first time experience.

Opportunity for home and/or hospital birth. I prefer for insurance to be accepted. I have a phobia of needles which does not correlate with my vasovagal syncope. I need someone who is willing to work with me on alternative options for blood draws and will not require an IV. My birth plan is still in the works but I had originally hoped for a waterbirth. Advocacy for birth plan OB is Karla Kossler. Will deliver at Carle Bromenn. This will be my second birth. First birth was an emergency C-section. Labor stalled before I was fully dilated. I was completely dilated on one side of the cervix but just short of complete on the other side as the baby was in the brow position and not easily manuevered. I would like to attend a VBAC. however since baby is measuring big, theyre encouraging a repeat c section if I don't go into labor by 39 weeks. I am 37 weeks currently. I would like to do a trial of labor. I intend to get an epidural as pain can trigger seizures for me but I am open to other labor positions that may be feasible with an epidural.

I plan to give birth in the hospital, I do not know the price range for doulas, so just looking to get an idea of that. I am really just looking for someone to advocate for me during childbirth and maybe educate me.
