I'm 35 years old, need a midwife, and plan to give birth in a hospital.

Home birth, no meds, as natural as possible. Budget under $2500. Midwife is there towards the back end of labor to help safely deliver the Child and then clears the baby medically.

Im trying to help my wife find a doula to help us through our first pregnancy. As of now we are unsure if she is wanting to go unmedicated for the delivery so we would need someone able to walk us through those decisions. She prefers that I (the husband) be the one to read all the books and stuff so I would need someone that is willing to work with me on these things so I can support her as best I can. We are thinking of an in hospital birth, due around May 4th. My insurance does cover a doula/ midwife so it might help if you can take insurance but I would be willing to pay out of pocket for the right person. We would also prefer an in person doula/midwife to help us in the delivery room.
