Looking for midwife support throughout my pregnancy, birth and post partum. This is my first pregnancy and birth and while I’m excited I’m also nervous so really hoping to find someone supportive.

I’m seeking an English speaking lactation consultant who accepts Medicaid(Meridian). I primarily pump and bottle feed my newborn but want help with breastfeeding. I need gentle, baby-led latch techniques that don’t involve forcing him onto the breast, while keeping both of us comfortable. Experience with newborn latch difficulties preferred.

We plan on giving birth at OSF Little Company of Mary Hospital. We would like to delay chord clamping, delay bathing and introduce bare skin contact as soon as possible. We would like to delay examination. For the birth we would like to only use an epidural if absolutely necessary and would like to try other forms of pain reduction (nitric oxide); also limiting cervix checks. Not quite sure of an estimated budget. Postpartum, would like assistance in breastfeeding and getting the placenta into pill form for nutrients.
