I'm looking for a lactation consultant to come to my home in Homer Glen, IL that can be billed through insurance (BCBS PPO). For medical reasons (my own, not the baby's) I was not able to initiate breastfeeding during the first week of her life. Now that we're home together, I've gotten her to successfully latch and feed a few times for short periods, but it's not happening consistently. I'd love to have a few sessions with someone who could help support us through this transition. For context, I successfully breastfed our first baby for about a year after he got out of the NICU and got big enough the figure it out (with the support of a lactation consultant of course).

We plan on giving birth at OSF Little Company of Mary Hospital. We would like to delay chord clamping, delay bathing and introduce bare skin contact as soon as possible. We would like to delay examination. For the birth we would like to only use an epidural if absolutely necessary and would like to try other forms of pain reduction (nitric oxide); also limiting cervix checks. Not quite sure of an estimated budget. Postpartum, would like assistance in breastfeeding and getting the placenta into pill form for nutrients.
