Fourth child; surgical history: previously had 2 C-sections and an abdominal surgery to fix 5 umbilical hernias from second pregnancy; first and current pregnancies were/are singletons and second pregnancy was a set of twins; plan to give birth at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL; the hope is to attempt a VBAC; mother has Ehlers Danlos syndrome, hyper mobile type; would like to have prenatal appointment(s) and in-person help for labor and delivery for mom, baby, and daddy; budget is flexible
This is my first pregnancy. I am wanting to have a natural birth with as little intervention as possible if it is possible. I want to be well educated in the aspect of knowing what each intervention does and why I might need it and so on. I also would like help in the area of how to stay calm during my labor and how to make it memorable in a positive way. I honestly don’t have a big budget at all. I don’t know how budgeting works for a doula.

I plan on giving birth at a hospital. I would like to do epidural free. Have someone help me with healthy body support. Prepare my body. Help me with massages and how to lactate. I have BCBS Medicaid.
My c section will be planned at the hospital for the 5th time. I want to be abled to leave the hospital in 2 days. I would want the best recommendation as far as before I get ready for a c section as far as of a epidural or any other medications that would help me and keeping a close watch on me and my baby.
