I am seeking a doula who can accept my insurance. I am limited funds but seriously seeking help in Wichita Falls. I just recently moved here a few weeks and been very busy with scheduling appointments for my health and for my baby girl that is due in December. I plan to have my daughter natural birth at a local hospital.

I would like to have a weekly mom group I can be a part of. I live in Kansas. I struggled with postpartum depression with my last pregnancy. It consumed me for 6-9 months post partum. I had to take zoloft and attend weekly therapy consultations. I was on mental health watch from my doctors. My health insurance provided me with a nurse that called me once a week. It was the winter in 2020 and I was all alone. I had planned to breast feed and had all the supplies but no milk came. That is what triggered my PPD. I felt like I wasn't really a mom and I didn't deserve to have a child since I couldn't properly care for it. I felt like a burden to my baby and every single person I ran into (stranger or friend or family member) Their very first (or second) question was "Are you breastfeeding?" and I would just drown from my own grief and guilt of being clearly insufficient; and shut down completely. I dissociated and felt the walls closing in. This mental collapse made caring for a newborn difficult since I was not bonding with my baby I was just feeling worthless. And babies play off of the vibes of the mother. A calm mother will have a calm baby. A distressed mother will have a distressed baby. And so the snowball rolled. I want to be proactive this time around. I want to have a support network that feels real and authentic. A penpal? An online class with cameras so that we can all see each other? I plan to give birth at the hospital and my plan is to go with the flow. That is what feels the best for me. Planning and over planning something like giving birth is a mistake, in my opinion. I want to experience it as it happens. I want to feel the needs of my baby and provide my body with the mental support it needs. I want to have a caring nurse there who advocates for me better than even I can, because doctors can be harsh and rude and labor can alter moods/emotions. I watch "Call the Midwife" and I would love to have someone like that. But midwives are expensive and I cannot afford them. My income is about $40k annually. I do not have low-income govt assistance. I have health insurance through my employer. I plan to take 3 months Maternity leave.

Im 27 years old currently 20 weeks pregnant. This will be my third baby, My first baby I had to have a c section after laboring for almost 20 hours going up to 8cm dilated no epidural but baby was breech. So we ended with a c section (aug 2019). Second baby was a scheduled c section due ti previously having a c section (aug 2021) i was scheduled to have it at 1pm but ended up going in way earlier because when j was at registration and walking up to my prep room my water broke and i had contractions starting. Now this time around i really do not want to have another c section id like to have a vba2c. Im looking to have a doula for support and who is experienced in vbac. My obgyn didnt say no but just said we can talk more about it as you get further along but he did mention id have to deliver at a hospital in san antonio.

I plan to give birth at Mercy Hospital in North OKC. I am wanting an unmediated natural birth with no induction unless it is absolutely medically necessary. I am wanting my doula to support me in positioning and proper breathing techniques to alleviate pain during labor. I want the cord to be white and not pulsating before my husband clips it. I want the placenta to be delivered on its own. I want to labor at home as long as possible before heading to the hospital. I have Tricare Prime and have been told a doula will be covered.

Hello, I am new to OKC, we just had to move last minute for my husbands job. We have no friends or family in the area and are in need of some support and help with our little family. I have an 11 month old son and a daughter due any day. As well as 3 older children who are currently staying in TX with family. I will be having a hospital birth, C section at Integris Baptist due to medical issues and high risk pregnancy I am not interested in natural birth. I am looking for a doula to help attend the birth at the hospital and help with my 11 month old son so he can be there with us, he is not allowed in the operating room but would be joining us immediatley after. I am also needing help with lactation, adjustments and sleep schedule for my older baby, and generally help us get adjusted in the early days at home with 2 under 1. If you are available next week, we may also need help with shopping and gathering supplies and baby items, and setting things up for baby, we werent able to bring anything with us to OKC and are starting over. I do have soonercare and if you are licenced it would be a plus as some of the visits will be covered by them, but we willing to work out a cash arrangement weekly as well. Plan on giving birth in the hospital, but as unmedicated and natural as possible. No epidural, be able to labor in different positions, in the tub, etc. I want delayed cord clamping, skin to skin, no vitamin K, no Hep B, etc. Budget wise I’d like to stay under $1500 if possible.
