I am planning a home birth and am looking for a doula who can provide calm, steady and supportive care throughout both labor and the postpartum period. I really value a relaxed and comforting presence. Someone who helps me feel safe, grounded and supported during the experience. It’s also important to me that my doula respects and is open to my spiritual beliefs and is comfortable supporting that aspect of my birth in a natural and respectful way. My budget is around $1200. My birth plan is fairly simple. We’re aiming for a low-intervention, peaceful home birth environment and I’m looking for someone who aligns with that approach and can support both practically and emotionally throughout.

This will be my 2nd birth. My 1st one was a high risk twin pregnancy that had me impatient at the Fetal Care at Children’s Hospital in Aurora. I found out at 20 weeks we were expecting twins and my plans for a natural birth went out the window. I delivered the twins at 29 w and 6 days via c-section. This go round I’m seeking a VBAC option to redeem my original plans. I live in rural eastern Colorado and so I’m in the process of looking for a hospital close enough to us that has the capabilities to fulfill my wishes. I’m looking into the Greeley/ Ft. Collins area. Immediate Skin-to-Skin Place my baby directly on my chest after birth to encourage bonding, warmth, and stable breathing. Early Breastfeeding I plan to start breastfeeding as soon as possible after birth to promote bonding and milk flow. Plan to give birth in a hospital, budget? I would like to have a vaginal birth not opposed to epidural. Also for post partum support as I am feeling anxious about this entire process.

My partner will need to work throughout my maternity leave. I currently have a 4 month old daughter and what I’m looking for is someone to be with the babies throughout the night so I can rest. If she would be able to wake me up for pumping while shes on shift that would be a plus as well as helping to wash bottles, pacifiers etc.
