I am planning to give birth at home and have a midwife already, but heard some insurances cover doulas as well and wanted to check that. I would really like to breastfeed exclusively so would also like to have a lactation consultant to reach out to if needed.

This is my second baby and I’ll be doing a repeat c-section. My first baby was born 5 weeks early and I was never able to get him to latch, so I exclusively pumped. My biggest regret is not finding a lactation consultant before the baby was born, and relying on the hospital lactation consultant who wasn’t very present or helpful.
