My name is Libby (she/her) and I have been working across the reproductive justice spectrum for the last decade. I serve as an advocate for survivors of violence. I have lobbied around repealing antiquated abortion laws, served as an in-clinic abortion doula in two clinics and been involved in policy work and abortion education with an Indigenous led grassroots organization in Northern NM, Tewa Women United. It is important to me that my role as a doula is rooted in larger activism as well as direct care, because I believe a more compassionate landscape around abortion care will support the individual's experience as well. I am a full spectrum doula and a student midwife and I love showing up for people in their reproductive journey. I hope to hold many more through this profound period. It is important to me that I get to show up to you not as another “expert” in the room, but on equal footing, while using my experience and radical presence to help amplify your needs and wants.

I've been a birth doula for 35 years (I started young!) and I am also a childbirth educator. I got into doula work to advocate so that you can have the best birth possible. I am certified in Spiningbabies, the Rebozo Technique and in Acupuncture. I have always said.....this is your baby, your body and your birth and I'm there to support you in however and wherever you want to birth. I want to make sure that your spouse/partner also feels supported and cared for also. I live in Oceanside and serve San Diego County.

I'm a mother & full spectrum doula offering prenatal support, labor/birth support, hospital birth support, homebirth support, postpartum support, miscarriage support, grief/loss support, and abortion support. Some of the practices that I can integrate into my practice as a doula are: energy work/reiki, drum sound healing, meals/nutrition support, yoga/movement, & steams. I have been working in women's health for over 25 years, first as a nurse, and now as a certified birth doula and childbirth educator. I am passionate about teaching and love talking about the amazingness of birth. Toward that end, I am always continuing my own education as it relates to creating comfort in pregnancy and birth, breastfeeding, and postpartum mental health. I will encourage you to develop your understanding of this process, as well as your tools for relaxation of your mind and body. I realize that birth is a great unknown, which can be a challenging place for us to inhabit. Cultivating a sense of openness and curiosity for how your birth will unfold is one of your most powerful tools. I truly believe that a satisfying birth experience is one in which you have the support and information you need to make the decisions that are right for you. Birth is an extraordinary expression of who we are, and who our babies are, and I have always felt privileged to walk alongside a family as they meet the challenges and joys that mark this profound transition.
