Help with nursing my one month old. I’m not sure if I need to change my diet or his latch isn’t quite right. But he seems rather gassy and uncomfortable plus he’s feeding like every hour or less, and I have a one and a half year-old. So that’s rather inconvenient.

I think my son may have a lip and cheek tie which is making it difficult for him to latch well and truly eat enough during the day. He seems tense when eating and doesnt stay latch very long all the time. He’s gaining weight fine but has dealt with gas problems and overall I feel like he just needs help with this tie and seeing how we can help him latch better. We really don’t have much money to spend on this either though so we’re trying to work through that!

Our breast-feeding journey is going perfectly fine baby latches correctly. He’s happy at the breast. I am in need of a breast pump expert. I am a dietitian and I understand the importance of breast-feeding and my long-term goal is to rest fit my baby for at least two years, but I am struggling immensely wish my breastmilk output, I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong; I’m wondering if my flange size is incorrect or if I’m not using my pump correctly. Please help I’m losing confidence, I’m so sad that this is not working out. I speak English and Spanish, any language would be fine. We are currently uninsured. I gave birth at the beginning of February, and my baby has been on formula from the start and hasn’t been breastfeeding. I’m trying to breastfeed, but unfortunately it’s not working. Is it possible to get a consultation?

I couldn’t get him to latch. i can tell he wants to but he immediately gets frustrated and cries so much. i can tell he’s probably gotten used to being bottle fed. i feel like i really didn’t have a choice but to bottle feed him most of the time regardless, being that im an under supplier. he’s starting to try to latch with nipple shields, but again, he gets so frustrated and upset and cries so i just have to quickly give him a bottle. he’s perfectly healthy though, i just really wanted to breastfeed because i will prefer him to have as much breastmilk as possible.

This is my second baby and I’ll be doing a repeat c-section. My first baby was born 5 weeks early and I was never able to get him to latch, so I exclusively pumped. My biggest regret is not finding a lactation consultant before the baby was born, and relying on the hospital lactation consultant who wasn’t very present or helpful. Looking for tips and help with breastfeeding as a first time mom. My baby latched great at the hospital and now that we are home she will scream anytime I offer my boob to her. She takes a bottle great and I have been pumping about 2 oz total every 3 hours and feeding it to her. She is 4 days old now.
