Nithya is looking for Lactation Consultant
|
Location: Crownsville, MD 21032, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: June 30, 2026
I’m having my 2nd baby, expected around 6/30/2026. My first time around, I really didn’t know much, didn’t know the right questions to ask - and because my baby girl had a cow milk protein allergy, my diet took a severe hit- and as a result, my diet/nutrition/postpartum lactation experience wasn’t great - and I stopped at 6 months. This time, I want to do better and know proactively what to do, timing of feeding v pumping, how to keep a steady supply |

Location: East Case, Baltimore, MD 21202, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: August 15, 2026
I am looking to do a home birth or birth at a birthing center. Would like to keep it under $2000 WITH A PAYMENT PLAN! Ideally looking for christian based approach and someone also educated in naturopathic. I had my first child (7 months ago) at the hospital and did NOT like the experience there, was pushed and persuaded into certain I didn’t want. I would love this coming birth to be more aligned to my values and for me to be more prepared. I am currently 17 weeks. For this birth I would like a delayed cord clamping until cord is visibly white, no immediate vaccinations or vitamin k, and i am interested in water birth. |

I would like to have a non-medicated water birth in my home. I would Like for the umbellical cord to stay in place for as long as it lives. I plan to use Tricare insurance to pay for a certified nurse midwife on this journey. This is my first birth, but I’m considered high risk given that I’m 44 years old. I have a dear friend who will act as a doula and my husband will be present. |

Looking for help with establishing an exclusive pumping schedule. I’m currently pumping every 2-3 hrs during the day (for 15-20 mins each) and every 4 hrs overnight. I continue to have what I believe are clogged ducts on both sides. I want to ensure I am pumping on the correct settings to ensure I am fully emptying myself while also not causing damage. |

I’ve had 3 miscarriages in the last 5 years. My fourth pregnancy, 2 years ago was a healthy, full term baby who is now 2 and doing amazing with no complications during my pregnancy or my delivery. I’m now 21 weeks pregnant with my second son and my experience with UPMC has been nothing but stressful and uninformative. My charts have yet to be corrected for the last 2- 3 months I’ve been going to them. I’m at the point where I don’t feel like my doctors are listening or caring about my wishes/concerns. I am starting to lean towards a home birth with minimal intervention. With my son I got to 9 1/2 cm dilated before I got my epidural last minute and had no issues or barely any discomfort with my contractions. This one is a bit more uncomfortable and I would like to try to do the same as before but without medicine. I have no issue going to a birthing center if need be, I know the travel home with my last hurt me a lot so I was hoping to minimize the distance of travel for my second time around. I also had issues with my son latching for breastfeeding and went to see a lactation consultant twice but she took over an hour to come see us each time which resulted in my son screaming of hunger so I would end up bottle feeding him before she’d come as she took too long and then refused to help us when she heard he was bottle fed so I would like to learn more about breastfeeding if possible either through classes or having someone help me after birth. Our budget is probably $2500-4000. I’m not sure what my insurance covers but would love to look into it more with someone if we can. I’m at the point where I don’t trust my current providers, as too much has gone wrong or missed and I just want to cancel all appointments until I give birth so I’m hoping this is a better alternative for me. |

Location: Lake Shore, MD 21122, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: December 25, 2025
This is my third baby and I breastfed months two but her latch isn’t deep enough and I’m really struggling to breastfeed her. I’m at the point here I am exclusively pumping and I don’t know how to help her with her latch. I’ve done every position and have used nipple shields. The nipple shields help a little but she stl finishes feeding via bottle. I would like to breastfeed more than bottle feed and I think her latch needs to be deeer. My nipples are very irritated because of this. She’s 6 weeks old. |
